“Must expereince this place”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

The Geo Centre is incredibly huge on the inside and very informative and educational. One needs at least 2-3 hours but, if your time does not allow this the experience is still worth going. If you have more time, one could stay 4 hours or more if you have an interest in geology and our Earth. The Centre provides short movies in their theatres and special exhibits too which the Titanic exhibit was there when we explored the Centre. We were amazed at the historically accurate documents of this exhibit. Also my wife and I made a connection from Newfoundland to our home in West Virginia through the mountain chains. Plenty of interactive learning tools for adults and children alike. The Center is mostly underground and provides relief from a hot summer's day too. Overall, we highly recommend visiting this site as the Centre offers something for everyone. We enjoyed our experience so much we would go back again to learn more interesting facts about our great planet earth and Newfoundland.

Getting married here in Feb 2013. The staff has been amazing and the building itself is gorgeous for event planning. Give it a visit!

“Must see, educational, interesting for kids and adults”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Five adults, two kids under 10, an afternoon of entertainment. The exhibits are interesting and educational (for the adults and the kids), plenty of activities to keep the kidlets interested, and a play area for children under 7. The Centre was a complete surprise, as it is mostly underground and cuts into Signal Hill's bedrock. A great follow up to Signal Hill, too (especially in the winter when you need to warm up!).

I'll definitely be going back.

“Bigger than it looks”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Driving by the Centre, it looks pretty small, but the lower level reaches all into the hillside. There's some great geology exhibits, plus movies and other exhibits - we were there when the Titanic exhibit was there and it was great.
