pretty ok.

easy to get tickets when arriving at the right time and the boat is pretty spacious.

theres street parking and private lots all over the area where the boat comes out so driving to the attraction is not a huge issue, however the island is pretty small so driving does not make much sense if you are downtown anyways.

we walked here from our hotel and got the tickets pretty nice and easy. they have military discounts so make sure to ask for it.

as the people come on board everyone tried to get seats outside, I must say it was pretty cold outside and the trip is pretty lengthy so by the time you reach the high point of the attraction people have already moved around so do not worry about where to sit when you coming in the boat, things will chance I can guarantee.

there is a lot of history being told here so make sure to pay attention, it is a pretty interesting trip.

there is no guarantee you will actually see the whales, we saw some penguins the puffy ones and that was super cool, but no whales.

we got to find out a lot of interesting facts about the area on the trip and they also offer an SCREECHING ceremony during the trip, only you will not kiss the cod. but it was cool to do it on the boat none the less.

if you stay inside the cabin I must say for me it did not work, I got a lot more nauseous there than outside on the top deck, so if you get a little nauseous try going up it is a lot better in my opinion.

this is overall in my opinion something you should do while here for the experience for sure, however you may be let down for not seeing the wildlife you are looking for during the trip so do not have your hopes super high so you do not get very disappointed.

oh make sure to bring some very warm clothes you may need it.

We recently sailed with Iceberg Quest in St John's and the trip was top notch. There were no whales at this time of year but the scenery was spectacular. The crew was exceptional, friendly to a person. Highly recommend this trip anytime.

We decided to take this local tour to go out on the ocean. The captain and crew were nice. We had a calm day on the ocean. We were fortunate enough to see a sunfish....it was huge!

It was a beautiful day on the water. Views of St.Johns Harbour were spectacular, Captin Barry and crew were very knowledgeable and filled with information about the area and coastline! Great boat tour and would recommend it to anyone who is visiting or from here in the province! Always nice to see new coastlines and learn new information about the place we live!

We were a large group that did this tour on a day where there were some good swells. I had my infant son in his carrier, quite glad I did! The captain and his crew were knowledgeable and took care of us - and those who lost their lunch in the rough waters.

First must say that despite being told we wouldn’t see any whales and puffins due to the time of the year yet we did see the tail of one !

The trip was amazing with great scenic spots to see and the view and the ride was just spectacular.

Crew was kind and helpful ... but best was the captain telling us about the “no film zone”. (I won’t give it away to spoil his fun for future guests ) but got to say you got us good for a couple of days captain !!!

Thanks for the laugh

Had an awesome trip in St. John's location. Saw a minke whale and some humpback whales, puffins, guillemots, gannets and a large bald eagle off Blackhead. The crew aboard was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Safety is definitely a number one priority! Commentary in the harbour and throughout the trip was very informative. Beautiful perspective of Signal Hill and Cape Spear landmarks from the sea. Live fiddle music on the way back toward the harbour was a great way to finish off the trip.

We walked down to the harbour and hopped on this boat tour. It was interesting that it went around Cape Spear and the local area. But there wasn’t much in the way of birds or whales to see. The staff was very friendly and the music fun. If you want to see more wildlife you need to go to Bays Bull for the boat tours.

Great time on the water, informative, and the crew was very friendly. We saw Puffins, an Eagle ang great views of the coast. Good lesson on the history of St.Johns. Iceberg season had come and gone when we took the tour in late August, but still worth every penny. A different perspective from the water of St.Johns harbour, Signal Hill, and Cape Spear.

Not sure why a tour company would go ahead and run a tour at full price when they know there’s no whales, icebergs or puffins to see....at least it was a nice day and nice views of the coast. But wouldn’t have paid so much for that. Misleading.
