While you drive up the winding road enjoy the view of the ocean and landscape.
When you reach the top - you really feel at the top of the world.
Ample parking and excellent walkway to the tower makes it easy for everyone to access.
The day we arrived was dull and dreary - we had no idea what was in store.
As we walked the trails and enjoyed the view of the ocean the winds picked up so we decided it was a good time to explore inside the tower.
As we did the rain started - with a vengeance!
We went to the top of the tower to the observation portals where the rain was so strong you could hear it trying to break apart the concrete and stone and there was zero visibility from the window ports. This added to the experience and I loved every moment. I wish I could upload the video for you!
There is a lot to see in the exhibits and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
When there was a small break in the rain we made the mad dash to the truck, laughing all the way while getting soaked to the bone and commenting this was an experience to remember in many ways.

Grandchildren loved visiting the tower and being outside at the top. Spectacular views of St John's and the harbour.

Walked from the Chocolate Shop after the military tattoo around past the gun batteries to the Cabot Tower. Magnificent piece of architecture giving fabulous views of St John's harbour.

Inside is a little touristy shop, very cool view of both the harbour, and the ocean. It was quite windy though!

It seemed like a hurricane was breezing through but it was just a normal windy day at the top of Signal Hill. We went all the way to the top of the Cabot Tower and although it felt like we would be swept up any second we were not. Just be aware, if it is not tied down you will loose it. Ball caps are best snug or put away. The view of the harbour is amazing. St. John's town on display in the background with all it's colours is just waiting for you to go exploring.
