“Duckies!”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

My fella took me here to see the ducks. I've never seen swans so big in all of my life. It was a cold morning/afternoon when we went but it was still a lovely walk and there were plenty of fowl running about. :) I can't wait to visit during Summer months.

It reminds me of a smaller version of Saint Stephen's Green in Dublin, Ireland (for those of you who are familiar.)

“Lots of ducks”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Visited the duck pond to see the Wood Duck. The swans, mallard ducks and the lonely wood duck were happy enough to come right over and feed. I took my camera and got lots of photos. Good practice for the amateur photographer.

“Love this park”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Bowring Park is definitely my favourite park in St. John's. The flowers in bloom in the summer are quite lovely and they still have an old horse fountain there from back in the day. There are always plenty of ducks and cranky swans, and there's a building there for gatherings and weddings. Many people end up getting wedding photos here actually. The playground is large and has squishy flooring put down for kids. There's a pool opened in the summer with a canteen, and there's also a small skate park. Way at the top of the park, there's a soccer field, and a couple small gravel trails to walk around. There are two or three tennis courts and old gravel paths that used to be train tracks that run around too. In the winter, this place is super popular for sliding because there's a large hill near the middle of the park.

“Great spot for a stroll”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Bowring Park is a short drive from downtown St.John's Newfoundland. It is well maintained nicely designed by a landscape architect who worked under the designer of Central Park in NYC and Mount Royal Park in Montreal.

They clear the walks in winter. It is a great spot for a picnic in summer.
