Owner description: One of the most photographed attractions in New Brunswick, i.e. Shediac’s Giant Lobster, is ageing gracefully, even very gracefully, and we plan to celebrate its 25th anniversary in style this year (2015). This work of art measuring 11 metres long, 5 metres in width, 5 metres high and weighing nearly 90 tons saw the light of day thanks to an initiative launched by the Shediac Rotary Club. The Town and the Rotary Club will therefore work together to mark the quarter century of existence of this work of art sculpted by the artist Winston Bronnum. For more information on the festivities marking the 25th anniversary, please visit the Town of Shediac’s website.

“Perfect Stop for the Family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

What's not to like...it's free, parking is a breeze and there were lots of picnic tables (some even under shelters for shade) to take a breather and have a snack and nice clean washrooms. Shops are neat and there is a great little playground for the kids to blow off some steam. We knew we'd see the big lobster, but there was so much more to this road trip stop that we greatly appreciated....a lovely town and a great view. A nice surprise.

This lobster must be the most photographed in the world, bus loads of tourists and locals are always posing on it.

“You didn't go to Shediac if you didn't go here”

What's to say? It's a massive lobster sculpture with some tourist shops. Loads of parking. Go there and get your picture taken. You'll be sad if you don't

“The only one in the world!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

You won't be disappointed by the size and accessibility of the giant lobster. You can climb it and have your picture taken on it. Great souvenir photo to bring back home. There are gift shops next to it, ice cream stand, toddler playground. You can rent paddle boards and have fun on the Scoudouc river.

“Big Lobster, Great photos for kids :)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Our family drove into Shediac at the request of our nine year old daughter. Glad that we did. She loved it and we now have some fantastic photos of the kids on this giant lobster. We liked how there were little gift shops close to the statue. We bought a few little things and everyone in the shops were very friendly. There are also washrooms at this attraction. Fortunately for us there were not a lot of people there so we got some awesome photos. Shediac is a nice little town.
