“River meets bay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

We walked from the cruise port along the Harbor Passage to Reversing Falls. Because of construction we had to walk partly along streets but were eventually rewarded with nice views. This is not Niagara Falls but it is an interesting phenomenon and the rocks formations along the cliffs are unusual. I wish there had been a larger gift shop/cafe with something more to drink than water.

“Interesting phenomenon - Bay of Fundy tides cause falls to reverse direction”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

I spent the night in St. John, New Brunswick, due to its location during a driving trip through the maritimes, not knowing it was a tourist attraction. The Bay of Fundy, with its extreme tides, actually causes the falls in St. John to reverse directions twice a day. Interesting.

There is a restaurant, gift shop, and information center at the reversal point. There is also an observation deck on top of the building, and a very large parking lot.

I'm glad I stopped, as it is something you don't see every day.

“Fun place to visit”

This is a very interesting place to visit, to fully enjoy it I would recommend going several times at different tide levels to see the differences.

“Fair but disappointing”

You'll need to go to Bay of Fundy if you really want to appreciate the tidal effete on grand scale, also GPS didn't get us there correctly but you'll find it.

“The Falls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

It was awesome to have such a cool attraction in your backyard. It was calm when we were there, but the weather was beautiful. The people in the kiosk were helpful and we go some maps and information about the city and things to do in the area.
