“Finaaly found it!”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Not enough signage to get you to the falls. There was a second area that we found by accident after we found the spot across from the factory. Unwelcoming area by the look of it but we managed to find it with our gps.

“Awesome”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Watched as the tide went out & later came back. What a powerful show of nature. Never seen anything like this before. Spend some time and lean about Fundy tides.

“A great experience- timing is everything”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

The Reversing Falls are about a 1.5 mile walk from where the cruise ships dock. You can also rent a car from Avis which is a block from the cruise ship port and a LOT cheaper than doing a tour. The Reversing Falls is somewhat of a misnomer as it is more rapids than falls. Unfortunately, they have built an electric company at the rapids which puts a damper on the viewing. But try to ignore it. The Falls are most interesting at the time of high or low tide as that is when the battle to change the direction occurs. It is really cool to watch the rapids close in to form a line to push the water in the opposite way. There is a jet boat tour nearby- they take you out it looked to be about 10 min- most of the time they circled on the outside of the rapids. They did make a couple of forays towards smaller rapids and got everyone on board thoroughly drenched. Also at the site is a Zip Line tour- that does NOT cross over the falls- it is next to the falls and goes over a small section of water but nothing to rave about. The information boards at the sight are poorly written so read up on the phenomenon before you visit to understand what you are looking at. The Reversing Falls is great when coupled with a drive out to Fundy Trail-- to see the boats in St. Martin's sitting on the mud at low tide-that is what is so fabulous- the massive drop in tides. You can get the tide time tables on line by typing in reversing falls tidal times.

“Make Sure you Go at High or Low Tide”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We did not go at either high or low tide so the falls looked like a regular river. I mean you could see where the falls were supposed to be, but there was nothing. We did see video of what the falls were supposed to look like, but quite frankly I think this town was desperate to have an attraction and tried to find one. Fortunately, looking was free! Steep walk down for those who have troubles walking. There were steps.

“Reversing Falls ....”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

First of all, do not expect "reversing falls" it might be a misleading name. It is really reversing rapids...but it is an interesting phenomenon to see how the tides of the Bay of Fundy, the highest in the world, battle the St. John River and force it to flow backwards twice daily.
We took a taxi tour from the port and stopped on the way to St. Martins and the Caves, and also on our way back, which allowed us to see this wonder of nature. If you are driving by it is worth stopping at, however, if not enough time is available, I wouldn't drive a long distance out of my way to see though.
