“Lives up to expectations”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Very good food and friendly helpful efficient service! Place has a modern feel even with the exposed-brick walls. Waitress was very accommodating, allowing us to taste beer and wine to make sure it was what we wanted. Had a very good British style bitter which I had not had for some time. Battered fish was excellent. I tried the sweet potato salad which was pleasantly different. Would highly recommend.

“Great find. If you are looking for fish and chips, this is the place to go.”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

We were looking for somewhere to have a quick bite before boarding the ferry to Digby. I found this place on trip advisor and was happy we did. The service was superb: they made sure our order was ready within minutes, they were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and really hit the spot. Only minutes from the ferry.

“Britts Pub is great!”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

My family (with two teens) entered a different pub restaurant in Saint John but left because the service, right from the start, threatened to be poor. We dined instead at Britts. It was wonderful service from the moment we walked through the door. Bright, warm atmosphere inside with a deck for outdoor eating. The menu isn't huge, but everything we ordered was well prepared and tasted great. The friendly staff and good food makes it a perfect spot for an upscale pub supper.

“Great food, excellent atmosphere...like dining with friends”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

We had a wonderful anniversary supper tonight at Britts. They had a great selection of 24 beer on tap. We started off with a Guinness and a cocktail called the Dock 57 Caesar...like an ordinary Caesar but made with Canadian Club (a surprisingly nice drink). As an appetizer we split procuitto wrapped scallops with a sweet tomato reduction. Very tasty and just right amount. For the main course I had a lobster roll with sweet potato salad (one of the best lobster rolls I have had in many yrs...$20.00 but worth it!) and my husband had chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms with a mountain of mashed potatoes and Tuscan veggies (he said it was excellent). For dessert we shared a Creme Brûlée flavored with Baileys and Amaretto...if I wasn't in public, I might have licked the bowl.
I very enjoyable evening and Andrew, our waiter was friendly and helpful. Give it a try!

“Don't miss this!!”
Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

Went in on a Friday night, seated right away, even though we had no reservation. Staff is warm and welcoming and even though they were girly busy, they took the time to talk to us a bit. Fantastically friendly people. Lobster roll was excellent. Lots I large chunks of lobster and not much mayo. The strip steak was tender and flavorful and better than many U. S. steak houses. Lots if beer on tap, including bottled American beer. Our one really enjoyable meal in Saint John. Convenient to ship docks and Brunswick Square. Wished we had another night in town so that we could go again.
