Review of Imperial Theatre

Imperial Theatre

The Imperial is a classy theater with great character and acoustics.

You'll be surprised to find such a well made, non-tacky, and down right fancy spot in Saint John.

Many performers had described it as the best theater in New Brunswick, some even the Maratimes.

A hundred year old theatre with the best sound system. All the performers love it. Comfortable seating and wonderful staff which we found out is almost all long term volunteers.

This is an old theatre which has been fully restored to its original oppulence. I have seen musicians, dancers, comedians and actors grace this stage a hundred times over the past twenty years. The accoustics are spactacular, and the seats are comfortable, even for a large person.

nice old theatre, pricey tickets for top line entertainment. trying to outdo carnegie hall, hard in St. John, but they sre doing the best that they can. big name schedules by times. parkingi s an issue. They have a very, very good Grand Piano there and you gotta hear that played by a real artist!

On the basis of a recommendation, visited the theatre on a short visit to Saint John. Magnificent place ! Did not attend any performance but was shown around by a 'volunteer' who generously gave of his time. Magnificently restored and maintained. Locals appear to be very proud of their 'jewel' and rightly so.
