This hotel was recommended to us by a competitor hotel chain and although at first we were apprehensive we decided to go ahead and check out the referral. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Rooms were amazing, beds very comfortable, pillows fluffy. Breakfast was an abundant array of choices and variety for all appetites. Hotel staff, what can we say but "amazing job guys"! Both Christina and John deserve two thumbs up,,,,,,from dining suggestions, to area attractions and personalized service. Thank you all for an unforgettable stay.

The hotel has an upscale decor and interior lobby that is seen in many 4 and 5 start U.S. hotels. The room and the bathroom were very large. Everything was very clean and the staff seem very concerned with each and every detail. The breakfast was deluxe continental and included in the rate.(This matters when traveling with 3 teenagers) The only thing that was a little cumbersome was the 15 minute uphill walk to city market and no indoor pool. We have stayed at many 4 star hotels in the U.S. and this hotel met or surpassed many of their details.

This is a great hotel. From the picture I thought it was an older hotel, but it is very new. The bed was very soft and comfortable...like sleeping on a cloud. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend this place.

Room Tip: Continental breakfast made the slightly higher cost of the room worth it.

Rooms were very large. We had a king bed and there was a sofa bed if needed. There is a small refrigerator(no freezer). Hotel is very quiet; staff is very helpful. Easy on/off the highway. Nice choice at breakfast. My only complaint is no decaf coffee.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are quieter. Air conditioning is loud, but the front desk can turn it off for the night if you ask.

We visited St. John in transit to Nova Scotia via the Digby ferry. This hotel did not seem that conveniently located and the architecture seemed a bit cheesy. Once we entered the hotel, however, we were quite surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was and how nice the rooms were. Our room (2 queen beds) was quite large and very clean. The staff had excellent suggestions on what to do in St. John. On the negative side, apart from the location, the hotel did not seem to have a pool, and the breakfast, which was included, while there were a lot of options, was nothing special. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would stay there again if we return to St. John.
