Unique but not that special. It would be fun if you had a surf board. Moncton has a lot more to offer than this - only a side stop on this one.

“Amazing natural phenomena”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

One of the most amazing things I have watched. Free parking and a nice boardwalk to walk and watch it.

“A Natural Phenomenon!”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

We happened on the tidal bore by accident while biking on the fabulous walking/biking trail in Moncton/Dieppe. All of a sudden we heard a rush of water and when we looked to our left, noticed the edge of the tide pushing up the river! I've never seen anything like this. The locals say it is not as profound since dams were put in somewhere on the system but it was amazing for a non-local to see. There is even a viewing stand to observe this fascinating sight. You must check the times though and plan to be there about half an hour before as the tide sometimes comes a little early or a little late but do check this bit of nature out!

“Very cool”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We watched from the Riverview side of the river. Be sure to check the tide table so you know when you can see it. It came in right on time. It's pretty awesome to see the wave caused by the tides.

“Missed It by This Much...”

If you want to see the Tidal Bore, get there plenty (at least a half hour) early. It came early the day we were in town. Looks cool on YouTube.
