Owner description: A tidal Bore is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of an incoming tide forms a standing wave of water that travels upstream, against the current of a river or narrow bay. The tidal bore in Moncton is caused when the unparalleled tides in the Bay of Fundy begin to make their way up the historic Petitcodiac River. The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world and over 160 billion tonnes of water comes in and out of the bay each day! Twice daily, observers can watch the tidal bore as this incoming rush of water overtakes the outgoing tide in the formerly placid river.

I probably wouldn't go there for an evening dinner with my wife but for food and drinks it's a great place. The menu is very innovative for a pub bistro. Tried alot of items and everything taste great. The side salad that comes with a few plate is amazing, one of my favorites.

Great location and nice view on main street!

It should be called the Tidal Boring. I know it's an incredible thing, the force of the tide in the Bay of Fundy changing the direction of the river in Moncton, but as attractions go it leaves me wanting. Don't plan your trip around seeing this.

This is a mildly interesting natural feature. DO NOT plan your trip around it or you will be badly disappointed. However, if you are in the downtown area on a sunny day when the tidal bore is about to happen, take a stroll down and watch it.

It would be nice if planes, trains and buses ran so close to schedule. The ducks in the river really enjoyed the refreshed water we enjoyed the sights. The bridgehead near the hotel was recommended as the best place to watch and the Bore was not boring.
