They have amazing local wines, especially the Rhubarb wine for a dry unique taste. They are completing a major expansion to the winery which should be completed soon.

While traveling through NB, Canada, we were intrigued by this local winery. The grounds have quite the view of the hill, horizon and nearby communities. The owner was working with guests of the B&B portion (which looked like it would be very cute), but the staff member that assisted us was very knowledgeable and extremely personable/engaging. We obtained a history of the winery - original foundation of home from 1867!
Being from MN, USA, it was pleasantly surprising to hear that they use grapes (and apples) developed for cold-weather climates by the Univ. of MN.
Enjoyed the fruity white wines - grape, rhubarb, strawberry, blueberry, apple etc. We bought some bottles of wine at the winery, after the tasting, to drink throughout the remainder of our travels. And then once those were emptied, we sought the wine out in local liquor stores.
Note, if you like dry bold red wines, this may not be for you.

Thanks for writing about your experience here at the winery. We love sharing the history of the 1867 historic home and we fell in love with the story and amazing view. We are excited with the new development of the cool climate grapes. You are right they are not as bold as a Cab but are more like a Pinot Noir, the vanilla and pepper finish is amazing. The Mascaret, a blend of Frontenac and Marquette and was a silver medal winner at the 2017 All Canadian Wine Competition. Happy to hear you went with some bottles and searched out more while in the area. We do sell at every Sobeys and Atlantic Superstore in NB, and our local ANBL stores.
Hopefully you will make it back and enjoy our new building and winery next year. Lots of things to see and do in Atlantic Canada.

Not much going on in Moncton but winery tour was on the list. Being from west coast we have lots to compare, found it to be average at best. Wines are mostly blends of fruits, surprisingly some not even grape. Shorter growing season restricts selection of grape and fruit.
Shop is a delight, well laid out, easy to view products. Historic photos show growth of facility from old run down barns and building into what it is today.
Several wines on offer for tasting, after taking questions on taste from our host. She selected the samples each with a story, this created the dramatic reveal, made from?
Mostly sweet wines that were enjoyed by others just not to my liking.
A little pushy when it came to buying strongly suggesting we take a dozen, price was big factor as most were just $14.95. West coast wineries similar have no issue charging 40-50-60 dollars a bottle.
They offer a nice cheese plate that you could combine with a bottle of your favourite selection and go sit on balcony overlooking the valley. Nice if your on a bus tour but a no no when driving I’m thinking.
‘Take it with you’ heading is because if you don’t collect your purchases your waiting a full month to receive any shipped product. Owners will tell you 4-5 days but they use Canada post ‘ground’ freight. Our order for west coast placed on 4th arrives 24 days later, that is extremely disappointing. Any courier service I’ve asked are exactly the 4-5 days as suggested but this winery doesn’t use courier.

A delightful local winery which has rebuilt an 1867 house into a neat winery.

Enjoy a couple free samples.

I had a rhubarb wine. Sat out on the back deck of the new building and enjoyed the wine and view; could sit at a few neat spots.

Could also purchase a $10 cheese platter to add to your wine enjoyment.

Thanks for your comments on your experience. We call it a "Wine Lover's Utopia", enjoy the wines and the amazing view. We love promoting local products so the cheese is purchased from a farmer in Sussex who has diversified and produces all these awesome artisan gouda and harvarti cheese. Happy to hear you enjoyed a glass of wine and the cheese tray. We look forward to seeing you again.

Drove through Moncton on our way to Prince Edward Island. Found this winery last minute and so glad we did. The blueberry wine was the best we’ve ever had. The woman helping us was friendly and gave us the history of the winery while sampling fantastic wines. Overall great experience.

I live in Moncton and decided I would finally check out the Magnetic Hill Winery. We did the Wine Maker’s Walk for $10. Money well spent! Zach was very informative and we had the opportunity to try many wines. I’ve been on vineyard tours in Napa Valley and learned more today in my own backyard. Would definitely recommend to others.

What a discovery, this beautiful old house has been completely renovated, keeping the rustic appearance while adding modern amenities. The hosts are generous and friendly with a deep love of their orchard/vineyard. They were very generous in explaining all the steps taken through the years to bring back to life this beautiful house as well as their start in the wine making business, a definite highlight in our trip.

I was here about 10 years ago when they only offered a few wine selections, and my how they have grown! I was planning on purchasing 1 bottle of the one I fell in love with 10 years ago, but after a tasting with Janet (the lovely owner), we wound up buying that PLUS 4 others that we fell in love with. Honestly, we could have bought one of each as they were all wonderful.

A beautiful and quaint, growing winery with some great wine and knowledgeable staff. I will stop here every time I am in Moncton. Maybe next time we will have time to enjoy a glass on the patio before being on our way.

My family was looking for something to enjoy together on a Saturday. We decided on the wine tour and then enjoyed the picnic on the patio. The people were fantastic, knowledgeable, the view was stunning and the wine and cheese was the finishing touch to a lovely day. Definitely a must do when in the Moncton area.
