“Definitely over hyped.”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

Yes, the staff is nice and friendly but the value for the price gets 10 thumbs down. My first time here, my husband had the boar poutine and I had the pork. Poutine was good, however the pork left a lot to be desired. At the price of 26$, the pork was flavourless. The beans that came with it were tasty but not enough for any side. Will definitely not be back.

“Chic and Tasy Pub Fair”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This place has everything I love in a pub:

- casual, comfortable atmosphere
- one of the best beer selection in town
- great music
- hip downtown locale

...and in a dining establishment:

- interesting and very tasty gastronomic delights
- helpful, relaxed staff

The food is VERY tasty and has a wonderful doze of urban chic. The Parmesan Crusted haddock is particularly yummy.

Nice Classic Pub.
It has ALL you need to spend a nice evening after a hard day at work. It`s close to Marriott . It's clean and with a big selection of beers from all over.

“Great food, great staff”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

By chance, my mother and I found this gastropub on Monday evening after being stranded in Moncton during Hurricane Sandy. The best martini cocktails ever and the bartender came over to the table to ask how we liked them. He also gave us a lesson in various types of Scotch and the best way to savor them. The blue cheese and pear salad was fresh and enticing, the seafood chowder chock full of smoked haddock, scallop and shrimp and the rabbit was served 2 ways, loan and petit sausage rounds. Their inventive take on Tiramisu was a pleasant surprise. The waiter was knowledgeable with the wine menu, in fact, next door is situated their own wine bar open Wednesday - Saturday. Prices were reasonable for upscale food. Bands often perform on the premises - very entertaining. At the airport the next day, I purchased a magazine on the Top 50 Canadian Restaurants; low and behold, Tide and Boar, Moncton was voted one of those 50. On my highly recommended list and plan on wining and dining their on my frequent visits from Toronto.
