“Great property- IDEAL LOCATION”
Reviewed March 10, 2012

This hotel is in a great location - right downtown. It was nothing extravagant but it was just enough. The price paid for the room was enough for me to say that I had value for my money. the hotel was under slight renovations however the breakfast was great which was to the back of the hotel on the lobby level and they gave us an upgrade to the king. Thanks Rodd!

Hi my husband and I arrived at the Rodd Moncton Hotel and were a little sad to not be at a newer resort type hotel; however, upon registering and mentioning that it was my leap year birthday, the staff quickly upgraded us to a renovated room, (gorgeous) and sent us off with all kinds of info on local dining rooms, etc. We proceeded to our room and were relaxing when there was a knock on the door. The management had sent a bottle of wine up to our room for our enjoyment. Superior service, friendly service, smiles from all staff, and a great room with continential breakfast included....what more could one ask for, oh yes, clean room, nicely furnished, super comfy bed....We will be returning to the Rodd Moncton in the near future. Thank you to Tammy and staff.

Room Tip: The newely renovated rooms.

I have been staying at the Rodd Moncton for many years, but sadly, over the past few years, this hotel has been showing its age. The rooms were dingy, out-dated, and just tired looking. I heard that the 'old girl' was getting a facelift, so I decided to go see what was being done. My room was certainly an improvement on what had been there. Obviously the room was being renovated, and the furniture had laready been up-dated (gotta love those Beauty-rest mattresses!), and the desk-staff told me that was just getting started. They promised more up-dates for the main room, plus a new bathroom. The new breakfast room looks clean and modern, and they DO offer a very good continental breakfast. Although there is no restaurant on site, the Rodd is located close to several very good places to eat/dine. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is already very good value.

Friendly check-in attendant but took a while to book me in using an expedia reservation.
Decent place to stay for a night definitely not hi-end, but convenient to downtown Moncton & food, in summertime makes for a good walk. Bright, clean. A bit of 1st floor hallway noise someone passing by laughing at a late hour but noise was filtered out pretty well.

Friendly staff and clean rooms but the hotel was quite outdated. Renos were going on while we were there so I expect it'll look more updated next time.

This hotel disapointed us. Thought it was a great hotel. We thougt 3 star hotel and web picture seemed to be a well rated hotel. Even if renovation had been made, it's getting old and to be re-renovated.

Service from check in to check out was top notch. We had the pleasure of one of the newly renovated rooms. It was stunning. The new beds and pillows were a dream. Our room was very clean and attention to detail was obvious. Renovations are still a work in progress...if what I've seen so far is an indication of whats to come, I truly look forward to revisiting. Continental breakfast in the morning offered everything I would expect and more. The downtown location is fabulous leaving you within walking distance of fantastic restaurants, night life and shopping. I will go back!
