Greeted by a friendly, efficient staff member who made sure everything was in order.
She made a good recommendation for a place to eat. I needed to print out another reservation and she gladly helped me get it printed.
A clean room and it was nice to have a fridge included.
Breakfast was the usual, but the room was very small.
We stayed twice and the first time the breakfast person was on top of keeping things full and was in no rush shutting down breakfast at 9:30. On our second stay the person was running around everywhere and at 9:15 said it was too late to put out more eggs and at 9:25 the door was closed and we were asked not to let anyone else in for breakfast. So it makes a real difference who is on shift.
Yes we would stay again. It is a 20 minute drive to Hope Well Rocks.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on our drive out east. We booked online using Hotwire and got a great price. It was easy to locate off the highway. The hotel was close to a gas station with a conveniece store. The hotel itself was older but well kept. The receptionist was very sweet and check in was an absolute breeze. The room was nice and clean. The furniture and bed spread were old. There were cigarette burns on the blanket and on the nightstand. There was no smell of smoke in the room, but we noticed it on the first floor near the breakfast room. Breakfast it self was very good, lots of options. Coffee, milk, juices, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurts, and even boiled eggs. It was great. The coffee was surprisingly delicious! Overall I would absolutely reccomend this hotel, it was a great spot to stop and relax. Better than we were expecting!

Stayed at this hotel with boyfriend for the Nickelback concert. It smelt of smoke despite our room being smoke free. The room itself was clean and comfortable. One girl who checked us it was absolutely amazing and friendly. Had a long chat too us about the area [we weren't use to] places eating would be great/shopping if we wanted and about the bands we'd be seeing - she was amazing!!
The hotel did however charge both my boyfriends credit card AND my credit card upon check in... I have no idea why and they wouldn't give us a clear answer on it either.
The early morning after the concert a house keeper entered our room - we assume she knocked but we were sleeping, moved some stuff around and left again. We were express checked out the day after despite wanting to extend our stay. [We decided not to.] the second front desk lady wasn't very pleasant. Wouldn't probably stay again...
Extremely crowded breakfast room they layout could perhaps be changed up a little for less cramped feeling.

We came here to use up points and this is one hotel we should have skipped. You should too!!

This trip we've stayed at the Algonquin for 2 nights, the Residence Inn in Halifax for 3 nights and got to Moncton after the tidal bore so we decided to wait a day to see it. From the moment we entered, I should have known better, but my husband was tired and wanted a nap. The room smelled quite stale and smokey. I went to buy a candle and an air freshener. Also, after brewing a few cups of Chamomile tea during the evening, it didnt smell so bad.

This morning we're suffering from horrible backaches-my husband's is worse than mine. Old beds-very used. If you're older then 45 don't even think of trying to sleep here-try the backseat of your car first! lol

We're retired and as I said earlier, we should have known better. Today we have Therma Care heating pads on our backs and all this just to see the tides change on our way to the Fundy NP. Tonight the Algonquin is taking us back for 2 nights, so we'll heal on those wonderful beds and in that fresh clean air. Only the Prince of Wales building is open, but it's really wonderful. Check the AAA/CAA rate.

Since we're paying here with points, and the people here are nice, there is no point in complaining-we're the ones who made the bad, bad choice. We're in room 140. Do yourself a favor, eat at Rosannos, it's great Italian made with fresh ingredients (listed in Dieppe) but Do Not Stay here. We love the Comfort Inn in downtown San Francisco, but this hotel is the worst we've ever experienced.

We travel frequently and again, we're responsible for making this terrible choice. I've posted it so clearly so that you don't make the same mistake. RUN to another hotel!!!

Room Tip: DO not choose any room!!!

Smelled a bit like smoke, but stag was very nice. The room was a big old and smelled like smoke, but it was good enough for what we paid on peak season $90/night. Might stay again for better price. Breakfast was pleasant.

Our family had two rooms, with an interconnecting door. 2 queen beds in each room. Lots of space. Very clean. Breakfast dining area could've been larger, but they did offer a 2nd room for overflow guests to use for dining. Constant replenishing of food. A 40-minute drive to the Hopewell Rocks.

i have stayed at many Comfort Inns, but I regret this one. It reminded me of an Econo lodge, which I view as two steps lower. This property appears to be a converted "Journey's End Motel".
The bright spot was the staff had a good attitude. The room was cramped. The included breakfast was in a converted motel room (crowded), and the food was not as good as your average Comfort Inn. When I arrived I tried the Ascend hotel nearby, but there were no rooms.

Room Tip: The Ascend hotel nearby is worth the extra cost if you can get a room.
