During our vacation to Atlantic Canada, we have decided to stay in Moncton due to its Location from PEI and Nova Scotia and all the attractions we like to see and do NB etc... We have decided to stay at the Howard Johnson. The room was clean bed sheets and towels as well; the breakfast was basic but sufficient and not bad at all. WIFI access was just fine. The only bad thing was the smell of cigarettes in our room. We couldn’t pin point from where the smell was coming. Next day I complained to the manager and we were moved to a different room which had no cigarette smell. What I consider tasteless were customers that smoke inside hotel rooms despite the fact there are signs not to smoke. We have no issues staying with them again.

had an extraordinary stay at the Howard Johnson for our family vacation! the service we received was absolutely wonderful. there had been a mix up in the dates that we had booked and they did everything possible to rectify the situation and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome and our stay! our room was very big and clean with a kitchenette and sofa....it felt like a mini apartment and the beds were sooooo comfy and everyone was super friendly! no restaurant on site but there are tonnes of places around to eat and continental breakfast was offered free with our stay which was perfect: muffins, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, bagels, english muffins........great start to the day! The location was perfect for visiting magic mountain and the magnetic hill zoo. will definitely stay here again it was a wonderful experience! :)

We stayed at this hotel just 1 night when we were in Moncton. We booked the kitchenette room and it was huge and beautiful! The beds were very comfortable with modern white duvets and pillows. Couch had a pull out bed but we did not need the extra bed so it wasn't used. Nice coffee table and area rug. The tv was not flat screen, but that did not bother us. All of the appliances in the kitchen were very clean. The free breakfast was perfect for us (2 adults and 1 child). There was a selection of cereals, English muffins, toast, muffins and fruit. Tea/coffee/apple juice/ orange juice was also available. Yes, you serve yourself, but really fixing a bowl of cereal or putting a few slices of bread in the toaster isn't exactly labor intensive... And it's FREE. The eating area was very clean and quiet, there is a tv there as well. The staff are very attentive to the eating area constantly cleaning and checking the supplies.
I'm not sure what the other rooms are like..but the room we stayed at was perfect for us and a great price. We will book this room at this hotel again next time we are in the area. It is also in a great location. Right on the main road, and only mins from local attractions!!!

Room Tip: Book the kitchenette room for lots of space!

Very basic accommodation - nice bed, clean floors, flat screen tv - nothing fancy about it. Rooms are small, even for my king size room. From the outside it feels like some sleazy roadside motel - I was told this used to be called beacon light motel and had a reputation in the area. If there are no other accommodations available in the area, you would have to settle for this.

We stayed one night in this hotel during our trip to atlantic provinces.Receptionist was friendly and check in was fast.Room was clean . Shower was clogged and when I opened water it started spraying in all over the place . There was advertized complimentary warm breakfast ( WARM were just tea and coffee).Next time I would find better place to stay.

This motel seemed overpriced for the quality of the room. The rooms are small and do smell of smoke. The pool was a huge disappointment. It closed at 8pm and there was no hot tub as advertised when booked. There had been one but it looks like it was taken out and covered. The pool water was freezing. The receptionists were both very friendly and check in was nice and quick. The location of this motel was fine for us as we have a car and are familiar with Moncton. It is not walking distance to downtown or the mall but is to some restaurants and bars. The mall and downtown area are very easy to get to by car though. It is not too far off the highway. Our room came with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. If this motel was priced a bit lower I would have been much more happy with it.

Room Tip: The rooms upstairs are obviously quieter but are accessible by stairs only so keep this in mind if t...
