Had a great experience at this fairly new hotel last weekend. My wife had won a free night there, so we took the kids for a night out on a "stay-cation".
We all agreed that the hotel is VERY NICE, with modern furnishings, and a clean vibe everywhere. The rooms were a nice size (bigger than standard hotel rooms), and the beds were comfortable. The room featured things like a mini fridge, ipod charger/player built into the clock and a nice-sized flatscreen TV. My wife appreciated the fact that they had a Keurig maching in the room for coffee. The bathroom featured a large walk-in shower, which is rare to see in standard hotel rooms. We had the "Deluxe room" which is basically their starting point for rooms. I didn't get to see their upper quality rooms, but can imagine they would be quite something. For Moncton, nothing else compares in quality for a two-bed room.
We enjoyed the pool a couple of times, and it features a unique rain-shower that the kids liked, They have a GREAT hot tub in the pool area. Enjoyed that the most. The pool is small, and could get crowded I would imagine, but we had no issues. I like how they have a nice changing room heading into the pool, with lockers and shower, etc. Looks like they have a nice spa next to the pool as well, but we didn't take that service in ($$$).
The free WIFI worked well with my BB Playbook tablet.
Drawbacks: This hotel is more designed for couples really, although the family enjoyed it. It's part of the casino/concert hall complex, with indoor walking to both. Of course, kids are not permitted into the casino, and that is where the buffet restaurant and pub is featured. So, you need to leave the hotel grounds to find a restaurant for the kids. There is no breakfast included with the room. Also, this hotel is out on the northern end of Moncton which is a bit out of the way, unless you were going to visit the zoo or magic mountain waterpark which is very close by. There are not many options for restaurants in this area. You'll need to drive about 10 minutes to get to restaurant area.
Other options in Moncton: Hampton Inn and Suites is new and has a breakfast included and closer to shopping/restaurants. Residence Inn is right downtown and has a breakfast included and is 2 minutes from major shopping mall.
All in all though, this was a nice comfortable stay! Wish it had a restaurant option for kids but otherwise loved it!
