Owner description: One of Fredericton’s most beautiful and historic areas, Officers’ Square was named one of the Top 10 Public Spaces in Canada! It was a centre of military activity when Fredericton was garrisoned by the British and Canadian Armies. During July and August, it is the site for outdoor summer concerts, the Changing of the Guard ceremony, daily outdoor theatre, and a variety of festivals and events throughout the year.

“A quick visit”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

My family of 5 popped in to Fredericton on the way out of Canada and spent a couple a couple of hours around this nice area. Fortunately the weather was beautiful as we watched the changing of the guard, one of the guides asked if we'd like to inspect the troops so my youngest son did it which made it a bit more special for us as he took the salute from the Sergeant then walked with him to inspect the troops (the troops are actually university students but do a great job). Afterwards we strolled around the shops and lighthouse and headed on our way

“See The Changing Of The Guard”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

See the Changing of the Guard in dressed British Uniforms with real muskets with bayonets. Experience the realism of the drills and firing of the live ammunition every evening thru out the summer at 7:00pm followed by entertainment most evenings with some exceptions.

“Freee concerts in the Square on Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-8:30”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

This is a park that is in front of the Fredericton Region Museum. This park is surrounded by stately Elm trees and is where the free Summer concerts are held. Some people go to the park to sit on one of the many benches and look at the Saint John river or just to sit and eat their lunch. In the summer you may often see a couple stretched out on the lawn enjoying the shade of the trees and taking some time to themselves as they watch their children play in the park. Wheras in the winter months families come here to skate on the well tende outdoor rink in the centre of the city.

“Nice”
Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

nice place to spend an afternoon, lots of open space. Great in the summer when there are special events. However having Canada day activities crammed in there is rather disapointing, too small, and not enough to do or see.
