Owner description: One of Fredericton’s most beautiful and historic areas, Officers’ Square was named one of the Top 10 Public Spaces in Canada! It was a centre of military activity when Fredericton was garrisoned by the British and Canadian Armies. During July and August, it is the site for outdoor summer concerts, the Changing of the Guard ceremony, daily outdoor theatre, and a variety of festivals and events throughout the year.

“Pretty but boring, not much t osee, a building and grass and a monument??”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

I think as a tourist attraction Officers square doesn't have much to offer. The building is old and unique, Quite attractive as old buildings go. The green is just that a bit of grass, lots of homeless people, which is sad that they have to wander the streets all day with no place to go and pan handle . That was sort of a turmoff as well.

A "Changing of the guard" ceremony with a couple of the members of the audience drawn in. One wonders of the authenticity.

“City's Downtown”

In the summer months this is a beehive of activity. Easy listening music on a couple nights of the week, food festivals, summer theatre etc. A nice place to just sit and relax and get to know Fredericton.

Be there at the right time and watch the changing of the Guards.
This always draw attention as the display started by walking around the streets, then into the square to complete the performance.
