We were looking forward to a nice German meal after reading the reviews. We love schnitzel and have eaten it often in different countries. Perhaps it was because we visited on a week night and there weren't many customers but it was clear the schnitzel had been cooked in advance. It was dry, barely warm and not very tasty. The hunter sauce on top was too thick, there was too much of it and it wasn't very hot. The salad of greens that accompanied the meal was excellent with a very good sweet, nutty vinaigrette. And the spaetzle was good too. The atmosphere was great and the service was prompt. I really wanted to like my meal but unfortunately it fell short of my expectations.
