“Great Place for Lunch”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

Looking for a spot to have lunch in Winnipeg we headed across the Red River to St. Boniface on Provencher Boulevard and found the Seine River Cafe. Great club sandwich and a beef dip.

I would highly recommend the short drive east from downtown.

“Great food, but noisey”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating (for breakfast/brunch dining) is the noise level when it is full (which is nearly all the time). Met with friends from out of town to have brunch before they hit the road going home again so looked for a restaurant with good reviews for breakfast/lunch and found SRC. Was not disappointed with the food, but was hard to carry on conversations between the 6 of us. Great options and great price, especially for 2 of our party who were vegetarians. Staff made suggestions/accommodations for their needs no problem. Will be going there again!

“not consistent”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

We have been many times for breakfast AND ALTHOUGH SLOW IT IS VERY GOOD. Went for lunch pea soup had way too much sage or poultry seasoning and fresh roasted turkey sandwich was dry with too thick gravy along with terrible stuffing. Service was very slow. Hailey noticed server never brought me cranberry sauce so she brought me some. Hailey is a great asset to this place. French fries are not homemade. VERY NOISEY which cannot be helped as they are quite busy. We will only go back for breakfast. Furniture should be replaced.

“Fine breakfast place - nothing fancy”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

A fine little place. A little drab - and do I really have to sit on a folding chair at my table? - but food was good and service was solid. Maybe a little pricey but decent portions and pretty tasty. Had Benedict omlette, which was a new thing to see for me, but it didn't taste much like eggs benedict so a little disappointing.

“Good”
Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Good food except it wax a little cool. Very busy place went around 1 on a Sunday and was full. Service was ok could use another server I think. The major draw back is it is very very loud in the restaurant.
