Every time I visit Winnipeg, I try to get here. No where else is the Beet Borscht this velvety and zippy and aromatic. The Matzoh Ball Chicken soup is full of chicken, home cut veggies, and of course huge, spongy matzohs-- all in a rich broth.
The Falafels are good. They tend to be a little dry, but with the sesame sauce in a pita, they're worth it.
The orange juice is fresh squeezed, hand made. It is probably the best juice you'll find.
Service is a little slow- friendly, the staff tend to be students and laid back to the point of careless. They seem to be much more efficient when the place is busy. When it's slow, they tend to hang out with each other and visit. It's annoying.
The place is unique and worth a visit.
