This is one of the more expensive restaurants in Winnipeg. We had a good time here. The food was good and the presentation excellent. The historic house is beautiful and the service is professional and friendly.

We hadn't been to Restaurant Dubrovnik for quite some time. Used to be one of our favourite dining rooms in Winnipeg back in the day. My wife and I decided to dine there to celebrate our wedding anniversary this week. Milan Bodiroga was our polished and genial host, of course. The service was understated but impeccable. The meal was nothing short of fantastic. My wife and I both ordered the half rack of lamb. Perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender and seasoned, beautifully presented on stylish rectangular plates with perfectly cooked vegetables and garnishes. Add an outstanding classic Caesar salad and absolutely wonderful Schmoo Tort, and truly we were in gastronomic heaven. We've dined in many places in North America and Europe and extensively in Winnipeg. Restaurant Dubrovnik is right back on top. No wonder Milan and his team were chosen to cater the luncheon for Her Majesty The Queen at Government House in July.

We went for dinner at the Restaurant Dubrovnik last night and it was an excellent experience all round. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated with old fashioned charm and politesse.Surprisingly, the place was nearly empty (on a Thursday night!) and the service was attentive and relaxed. My husband had the scallop starter, and the elk filet which were cooked and presented to perfection. I had the filo wrapped brie, the borscht and the tapanade salmon, which was superb. Dubrovnik has an extensive and excellent wine cellar, a good selection of port and offers a fine slivovice, smooth and not sweet.
The menu is diverse, with a variety of beef, fish and lamb dishes done with a European touch.I found the portions to be on the large side and the prices to be reasonable for a high end restaurant. If you are looking for a quiet evening with some fine wine and excellent food, this restaurant fits the bill.

We have walked past this place for several years and finally took the plunge. Building is gorgeous, service was fine, relaxed atmosphere etc. Only one problem...the food was awful. Whoever is doing the cooking is terrible.
I started with the lobster bisque($10)-got a miserable bowl of watery soup with vague fishy smell and a couple of ears of corn, the saffron froth had no saffron aroma, awful stuff. My wife had the greens salad w goat cheese ($9)-rehashed withe miniscule amounts of cheese, very poor. Mains were the Lamb $34- waiter said they had run out of the loin(at the start of the evening in nearly empty restaurant !!), it was okay only, very poor for the price. I had New York Steak $36- nothing memorable at all, and the accompanying veggies we terrible. The wine was fine but overpriced.

Restaurant Dubrovnik has been Winnipeg's top restuarant in several decades. When we saw several negative reviews on Tripadvisor, we were concerned. Now that we have been there, we can truly tell you that it is a great restaurant. First, there is some parking within the gate and street parking is not a problem. The building is in great shape and there is no fear of falling ceiling. The wait staff was attentive, quite, ultra polite but also efficient. The pace of service was just perfect. From arrival to leaving, it was exactly two hours, just right for a three-course meal. They served a wine we brought, a twenty-year Burdungy that needed decanting. The decanting was done perfectly using a great claret jug of silver fittings and crystal. The courses were beautifully presented. It is mostly continental cuisine with a touch of Eastern Europe. It is not cheap but a nice time. Service was probably the most impressive part of the dinner. It is confident, unobtrusive and certainly not rude (completely unlike a few have said about this place). The menue is organized into three sections, first course, second course and main course. The portions are reasonably large. You may not want to have more than an appertizer and a main course. Even with two courses, you will need to be hungry when you walk in. Highly recommended.
