A very enjoyable experience! We went on Saturday for lunch and I was quite surprised how busy the place was. We were seated in no time and our waitress was excellent. She was very pleasant and gave us as much time as we needed! The fruit smoothies were yummy and the various dishes; soup and sandwich, pancakes, burger, breakfast poutine and guyro were delicious. It would have been perfect if we would have been able to sit beside a window. Oh well, next time. I have been to the now closed restaurant in the Conservatory many times, Park Cafe is WAY better!

My husband and I ate here on Monday of the civic holiday. We got seated right away but after that the service was nothing special. We waited probably close to 20 minutes for the park breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast and hashbrowns) and a club sandwich with sweet potato fries. Once the food arrived we were rely disappointed. My club sandwich had been fried in butter. The turkey was a very strange consistency and had a lot of gristle in it. The sandwich was too greasy for a club. Sweet potato fries were nothing to write home about. My husbands park breakfast looked disgusting. Scrambled eggs were brown and runny at the same time, I don't even know how you could get gigs to turn out like that. The hasbrowns were grease laden and he got two small pieces of sausage that didn't even add up to one full sausage.

Atmosphere at is place is beautiful and was filled with lots of families. Would be nice if they could come up with a better tasting menu and people would be lined up out the door!

Located in Assinaboine Park beside the Duck Pond. The patio is really a secret one selfishly hopes remains a secret. It is secluded behind the building and protected on 3 sides by the building and on the other a raised access to the Zoo parking lot. That being said the best is yet to come. When you order from the menu, which is diverse and well priced, be prepared to be amazed. For the price paid our lunch was amazing. Served to correct temperature and presentation. The tastes were amazing and barring anything short of a tornado, save room for the banana bread pudding, served with ice cream and caramel sauce. A jog behind the car through the park may be in order. Bon Appetite!

Met a friend there for breakfast and was quite surprised at the whole experience. Although not a super bargain to eat here, the coffee was good and strong like I like and the breakfast was quite decent. We had the Park Breakfast which included bacon, eggs, hash browns (more like home made deep fried potato slices with sauteed onions & herb) and "texas" toast. There was no skimping on the food, that's for sure!

Waitress was a little slow in bringing us our coffee to start but we were waiting for a friend to join us which could have made her hesitate to serve us!

But once we ordered they were very quick and the waitress was quite attentive. We will definitely go back.

And they do have free WiFi - you just have to ask the waitress for the password.

Located almost directly across from the English Gardens and right beside the duck pond, seating by the large windows gave us quite a nice view.
