Delicious curry! Their rotis are homemade, huge and delicious, or you can get basmati rice. Both come with potatoes, chickpeas or a mix of both. All entrees come with a side (tossed) salad - or soup in winter.
Can also get potato / chickpea / veggie roti so vegetarian / vegan friendly. And if you get rice instead of roti, gluten-free friendly too.
I'm less keen on the jerk, but I think that's because they add bbq sauce to it, so it ends up with jerk bbq sauce. Ask them to hold the bbq sauce if you prefer.
The mixed veggies that go in with the jerk are frozen veggies. Not sure I'd hold that against them as other restaurants may well use frozen veggies too - we just don't see it as the kitchen isn't as open as here. You sit at a counter, and can watch them while they're cooking your food.
The hot sauce has been toned down since last time I had it, but do beware: it does pack a punch! Start small and work your way up!
Prices are reasonable, especially considering the huge portions could easily be split between two people.
The Guyanese couple who own the restaurant are very friendly and chatty. You enter as a customer, leave as a friend.
