Excellent guides and signage. The attraction is the multitude of birds that visit regularly. Walkways are very easy to navigate and have excellent signs.

Thanks for visiting! We're so glad you were able to navigate around our property so easily and enjoyed your time here.

We definitely have a lot of birds migrating through right now If you enjoy birding you might want to check out our evening Goose Flight Migration season. It is quite the sight to see. It runs Wednesdays to Sundays starting Sept 19 to Oct 21.

Wow, I am not sure where to start. A jewel of an attraction, offering an array of activities. There is truly something for everyone. There are tours, interpretive center, walking trails, flora and fauna, water sports, camps, a restaurant, a farm selling their products, a gift shop- I am sure I am missing lots. The admission is affordable, actually it is cheap, I discover new things every time I go. I love the burrowing owls in the interpretive center and they had babies this year- amazing to catch a glimpse and watch them grow. There is a bison enclosure, take a bison buggie tour for a real learning experience. Check their website to help navigate your day. If you enjoy the outdoors, take the family and enjoy!

Thank you so much for your glowing review of your FortWhyte experience. It sounds like you've had a chance to experience many of the different sights, sounds and spaces that we have to offer. The indoor Burrowing Owl exhibit is definitely a highlight in the Interpretive Centre, we're so pleased you enjoy them as much as we do.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with everyone and we hope to see you here again soon!

Wonderful afternoon for the kids, wondering thru the marsh on the boardwalk and just spending the day outdoors. There is a very nice area inside with preserved animals that my 2 yr old granddaughter found very interesting. Small restaurant that served an excellent soup @ a decent price.

A year-round oasis on the edge of the city, Fort Whyte Alive is at its best during migration seasons, spring and fall. But in late April and May when the trees are not yet in bloom and the ponds are full of waterbirds, this is THE place to be for a "natural" experience. Birding and Breakfast excursions led by expert volunteers are a great way to start the day. A pleasant walk with guides to help you identify all the returning birds followed by a hearty breakfast is unmatched anywhere. Kids will love the chance to see plants and animals up close. Programs are will presented.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of FortWhyte, it is obvious that you really enjoy your time spent here. We are so pleased. The spring and fall migrations are definitely special times here for us. We do have a few Birding and Breakfast opportunities at then end of August- you might want to check them out and see if you can spot one of the fall warblers.

Something for everyone! I love walking through the woods, watching the birds and animals. Love the water, and plan to take sailing lessons. Great gift shop and restaurant. My son loved going to camp there, too!
