Well we were hoping the reviews would have been corrected by now. Not so much! We were in the motel part. Stains on the chair, carpet was dirty, shower was moldy, hot/cold water temp could not be controled well in the shower, room door was sticking, outside door would not close. Beds were new, bedding looked new and clean and beds were very comfortable (otherwise we may not have stayed)

The carpet in the halls was a bit dirty and the sauna/hot tub were out of service and had been for months. However, the price was reasonable and our room was clean, neat and reasonably quiet. The breakfast special in the restaurant was tasty and the service prompt. Wifi worked for us.

Room Tip: Rooms that face away from Portage Avenue (even numbers) are much quieter.

for almost $100 you can do WAY better! Look for a B&B or even splurge and spend an extra 20-30 on a decent hotel. This place was unacceptable. I had to run the water for like 5-6 minutes to get rid of the dirt in the lines (the water was light brown), even then i was a little wary having a shower but i did and am no worse for the wear. The floor in the bathroom was gross and the carpet was weird feeling under your feet. the blankets on the beds were thin and there was something funny going on with the AC /Heat. I woke up several times through the night either freezing or sweating. OH! downstairs they now have"|erotic bingo"... so i guess if thats your thing.. but it wasnt mine. No elevator, ice machine is in the main lobby, and the outdoor noise is a bit much.. too close to the airport!

would never do it again.. not when i know what else is out there for a comparable price.

This is the second time we have stayed here, our horses run at Assiniboia Downs close to here so it works out well. Have stayed in the motel portion as well as upstairs in the hotel part. Was satisified with both, was more convienent for us to drive up. We did have some noisy neighbors one night but called the desk and security went next door within minutes to quiet them down. The room couod have used a bit of paint here and there but was overall clean and relaxing. We will definately stay here again.

We booked this hotel as we had to go for a family funeral. When we checked in their computers were completely down, so they just handed us a key. I asked for wifi and they said here is a code, but it doesn't work most of the time.....sorry. We get to the room, and even though it was snowing outside, the room was actually colder inside than outside the hotel. So we cranked up the heater and went to sleep. Waking up 3 hours later freezing we come to find out the heater did not work. Went to take a shower and was scalded on my scalp, water went from cold to hot 7 different times before I gave up. Also forgot to mention there is a liquor store in their parking lot makes you and your vehicle feel really safe!!!

Clearly this may have been a good hotel 50-60 years ago. they just have not repaired anything since!!!

We booked this Howard Johnson online because it was inexpensive and the HoJo's website stated that it was an airport hotel! And that there was a shuttle. 30 minutes and 30 taxi dollars later we were far from the airport in a run down hotel. The website lied! The restaurannt had hours that were different than stated and when we looked in, it appeared to be a worker's cafe from the former Soviet Union. The Sauna and Hot Tub were out of order. There was no decent restaurant nearby. The money we "saved" went to the taxi. We could have stayed at the far nicer Shearton Four Points across the street from the terminal. Don't go here! ( PS, staff was nice)

Stayed for one night while travelling to western Manitoba. Booked on line and got a very good rate. Front desk was helpful and we got our room. I just think there must be two sections to this hotel as we were on the east side which appeared to be more of a motel structure. Our room was acceptable for the price and clean enough. Could have used a little updating but I've been in much worse. The big downer here is the noise. Not only is the room not at all sound proofed, the bar, which closes at 2:30 AM, emptied out right in front of our room and drunken revellers were there for some time waiting for taxis and rides. I'm not a fussy hotel patron because it was cheap and for that price you usually get what you pay for. Had I known this place was that noisy I would not have booked. We couldn't move as the hotel was fully booked. Would I stay there again..........not without earplugs. On another note the hot tub and sauna was "out of order" and we were not offered a continental breakfast which I found out afterwards shold have been available.
