“Very little government funding !”

This park is nice and away from the hustle of the busy city however much more could be done with the park if the government would step up and finally spend some money where is belongs and not on ridiculous places like a new stadium - which is outrageous.

This is the place to bring your friendly dog to walk the miles of trails, play with other friendly dogs and meet a lot of very nice people. There are two parking lots, we prefer the open one near the washroom area. There is a large open field but it can be concerning for animals as there are numerous gopher holes. The trails are the best. Be aware that wood ticks do come out in April and your dog should be protected. There are doggy doo bags at stations along the way if you forget your cleanup bags. Be sure to have your dog licenced as there are random checks by the city.

“A quiet refuge close to the city.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2012

A nice place to get out and enjoy some soltiutude in the city. Good for a picnic, walkabout, or whatever you like to do. In the fall, you can even look for wild cranberries and quite possibly find some edible wild mushrooms.
