I have stayed at many hotels in my time and do have to say this hotel is one of the best ones I have been at. The staff (Robert) who checked me and my family in was friendly, helpfull, and answered all my questions regarding great places to eat and shop. We were very impressed with the continental breakfast, one of the best around. The Fairfield hotel I would compare it to either the Mirage or Paris hotels in Vegas. We will be definitely staying there again on our next trip out to Winnipeg. Having access to the workout room and my wife and son really enjoyed the pool with the waterslide too. Thanks again to Robert and the staff at the Fairfield Hotel on making our stay feel like home!

Winnipeg probably isn't high on places to see in Canada, but I'm glad it was on my itinerary, this hotel is an extension of the friendly feel you get wherever you go in the city and becomes a part of the experience, not just a place to sleep.

After previously spending 4 nights in the Hyatt in Toronto, this hotel wasn't a step down in quality at all, it might not have the refined finishing touches of a 4 star hotel, but I have to say I enjoyed this better. I think the first reason is the staff, you don't have to be a business executive or high ranking member of some tiered reward program to be treated like you are worth something and I really found that refreshing.

The bed was large and super comfortable, the room was well presented, the shower was huge, the bathroom was spotless, the free wifi was actually fast enough to use and they have free breakfast/coffee/tea/hot chocolate which is a great touch. I didn't see or use the pool, but saw lots of happy kids coming back up on the elevator, so looks like it is a great place for families too!

The location seemed pretty good to me, a quick stroll (if it isn't too windy lol) and you're at Polo Park Shopping, close to the football stadium and a couple of bus stops. Plus a Walmart next door, with McDonalds, Starbucks and Tims all a stones throw away too. Anywhere that is out of the way, they will drive you in their free shuttle, just ask politely, they won't bite :)))

I might be from the other side of the world, but when I get back to Winnipeg to finally see a Jets game when there is no lockout, I know where I will be staying!

We just returned from 19 nights at the Fairfield in Winnipeg. We were there for reasons to do with a sickness of a dear family member that was terminal. The people at Fairfield, lovely Patrica from London's East End, to Breanne, Arnold and so many more could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast every day was excellent in a breakfast space that was kept spotless, even through the early morning rush period. Always lots of choice in the expanded contential breakfast, and they never ran out of anything. Our schedule going back and forth from hospital at odd hours made the daily room clean up somewhat difficult. No problem, the team worked around our needs. Business center was complete as I needed to do a lot of work following the passing of our family member. Near the end other family members needed to join us for funeral etc. this included our 4 little grand children, all of whom totally enjoyed the spacious pool areas, hot tubs etc. All in all, would definitely stay there again. This is our hotel while in Winnipeg. It's easy to judge a hotel when you are there for 1-2 nights. After 19 nights, you would normally see the flaws of there were any. Excellent right to end.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a city view. It's on the side of the hotel opposite the train tracks. The...

Stayed here on our way through Winnipeg & were very pleased to find a new Inn. Located near a shopping centre/airport. Only negative would be no fridge/microwave. Staff friendly/helpful & lived up to their reputation of "Friendly Manitoba". Will definitely stay here again/recommend to friends.

Hi Elekat,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experiences during your stay with us, your comments have all been shared with our team, such positive comments help them tremendously.

We should be seeing refridgerators in every room before long, as we are listening to our guests comments, and feel that this is a very valid point.

Thanks again

My wife and I stayed here on a road trip to BC from Ontario. We found the staff to be friendly and the lobby attractive. The room was modern with one king bed. However, it was small and had no fridge, micrwave or a bath tub; only a large shower. The room was clean except for a soiled bed skirt. Not many restaurants near within walking distance and the inn was located beside a big box store complex separated from the hotel by railway tracks. The hot breakfast was good. Not sure if the location of this hotel was the best choice for traveling west by car.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your recent experiences at our hotel, we are always pleased to read about the service that our team provide, they all find it so rewarding.

We will shortly be expanding the hotel, and part of that expansion will incude adding refridgerators into each room. At the present time all of our studio and one bedroom suites have these items as standard, and are available at only $20 extra per night.

Location is VERY difficult to gain access on the street coming from the west if there is any significant traffic, as there often is. And, location borders both a railway track (though apparently used infrequently) and a commercial/retail/residential area.

Pool area is spectacular!!! There is a good sized waterslide, a flowing "lazy river", a swim section, and a large shallow section that very gradually deepens. In this section there are sprinkler systems/structures for play under. There is also a hot tub and large seating area.

Staff is friendly and rooms comfortable.

Hello Harvey-Priscilla,

Thank you for such a concise review, and thank you for your kind comments; we are all so proud of our hotel, and the wonderful people that we have in our team, it is always great to get feedback.

Our location is actually one of our strengths, we belive, in that we are equi-distant to the airport and downtown, and so close to Manitoba's largest mall, whcih has all of the amenties any traveller could wish for. Our 24hr shuttle will always drop you off and pick you up when you are ready.

Thanks again, and please hurry back to Winnipeg and see us again!

Arrived late to Winnipeg I called hotel and they sent the shuttle right over. Arrived at hotel and check in was quick and painless. Shuttle driver and front desk clerk were very professional. Rooms were quite nice and comfortable. Bathroom had Only a shower but was quite spacious. Breakfast included a couple of hot selections with eggs and sausag with the usual waffles HB eggs and an assortment of cereals and oatmeal. This hotel is located very close to WP Bombers stadium and close to shopping and plenty of resteraunts. This will be my hotel when visiting Winnipeg in the future.
