“Free and family friendly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

There's regular free guided tours which are great for a lazy wander around - definitely worth doing. It's nice to have some of the finer points of the design and building pointed out with their significance. Just wishing now that I'd taken the time to visit the Leg buildings in the other cities that I traveled through as a comparison.

Photography buffs will be kept busy both inside and out in the gardens - be sure to spend some time outside too :)

“Manitoba Stories”

I love the grand entrance and the stories which are depicted over time on the worn stairs, the historical artifacts, the art works, and the fossils in the Manitoba limestone. The Queen's Jubilee was celebrated in fine style, and marked her many visits to our province.

“Majestic”

Beautiful architecture - grand marble staircase as one enters the main area flanked by two life size bronze statues of the plains bison. If you can get a guided tour to explain all the significant points of architecture. Awesome location - a must see !!

“Historic and Informative”

The walk up the steps lets you know you are headed into something worth seeing. Loved the bison and the architecture, the tour guide told interesting stories and kept it to a length to keep the kids interested. Worth the visit.
