I love the grand entrance and the stories which are depicted over time on the worn stairs, the historical artifacts, the art works, and the fossils in the Manitoba limestone. The Queen's Jubilee was celebrated in fine style, and marked her many visits to our province.

“Majestic”

Beautiful architecture - grand marble staircase as one enters the main area flanked by two life size bronze statues of the plains bison. If you can get a guided tour to explain all the significant points of architecture. Awesome location - a must see !!

The walk up the steps lets you know you are headed into something worth seeing. Loved the bison and the architecture, the tour guide told interesting stories and kept it to a length to keep the kids interested. Worth the visit.

From the grounds to the marble floored entrance and main floor and the golden boy atop the building, this is a magnificent building and must be seen to be appreciated, including the lush grounds in summer.

“Magnificent Masterpiece”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

This building dating back to the early 1900's is a modern reinterpretation of classical Greco-Roman style of architecture and is not to be missed. The entire structure is steeped in imagery, some associated with Masonic beliefs.
