Service, presentation, atmosphere are all top notch. I went with 2 steak connoisseurs who agreed it was the best steak they ever had in a restaurant (my fiance's backyard BBQ steak would put every restaurant to shame) . The chocolate cake at the end was one of the richest, most delicious desserts ever. Skip all the others in Winnipeg and go to Hermanos. You will not be disappointed.

Took my husband here for his birthday and it was everything we expected and more. Meals were absolutely delicious and they have a great drink menu. We shared a MASSIVE plate of several different kinds of meat, corn on the cob, shrimp, and vegetables. We were definitely satisfied at the end of the meal and will be back soon!

A unique (relative to WPG) blend of South American flavours. The mixed grill for 2 carnivores is highly recommended. At about the same price point as two dinners, the "big board" offers beef, lamb, chicken, shrimp and abundant sides. A range of wines from Uruguay is also a treat. Recommended, reservations required. This is a busy, loud space. Not particularly appropriate for that romantic dinner for two.

Nice decor, nice atmosphere, but not suited for a one hour lunch break. After watching other people all around us get served their meals for over 35 minutes, we were forced to leave before even seeing our food. Our order seemed simple enough, and we chose "lunch only" dishes thinking that they were staple items that would come relatively quick. This wasn't the case. Still waiting to taste the food at Hermano's, and I'll have to plan it when I have lots of time to spend waiting.

Our waitress was wonderful, staff very plesant, food not so much. Had the black bean soup - very good, shared a calamari - just average and pricey compared to other's I've had. Veal special was dry & overcooked. Surf and turf came with 1 medium sized prawn and the crab sauce was nothing special. Both meals came with veggies on a skewer which consisted of 1 grape tomato, 1 slice of squash and some onions, the potatoes were bland, looked awfull, sort of greyish and stuffed into a bowl, the "angus" beef was cooked medium rare as requested, but had lots of sinue, was flavorless and tough. Maybe we should have stuck to the tapas. Didn't stick around for desert. In my books.. not worth it. Won't be back.
