We have been to Hermano's a couple of times. The food has always been quite good but not outstanding. I recommend the steak. The service on our last visit was poor. The restaurant tends to be quite loud.

Food was average to bordering on bland in an exceedingly loud (and we were there on a Monday) restaurant. Waitress brought a dessert menu, but brought the bill before asking if wanted anything. You can do far better for the price.

Pretty average food and service. Not at all authentic Argentine cuisine. The empanadas had meat but no spices and were presented cut in half with some salsa. The meat platter was listed for 2-3 people, but came with 2 of each item. I would have thought they would make it for 3 people since 3 of us ordered it. And the meats were overdone (dry) and small. The chorizo was cut in half lengthwise and totally dry. We were asked about desert but the waitress never came back.

Had the paella, terrible, bland, bland, bland and very litte seafood, fish and chicken and what was in the dish was also flavourless. Our table also had the antipasta very unexciting. Needless to say we didn't even bother to take any of the food home as no one wanted it and yes there was a lot left over. So dissappointed. The staff was saying it is a steak house over and over again but honestly if it's on the menu you'd think it be safe to order. Other friends who had been there before were also dissappointed. That being said it is well decorated and well lite, too bad about the food.

I've been to Hermanos on numerous occasions and always have found the food and atmosphere to be excellent. Unfortunately the last two occasions have been somewhat dissappointing. While the service and atmosphere are still a-one, the food hasn't kept up to the standard that I've become accustom to. Previous to my last visit, I ordered the La Cabrera big board (24oz angus ribeye) and as usual I had asked for it med rare. When it arrived it was almost well done. We mentioned it to our server, who offered to replace it, but by then we were just interested in eating and leaving for another function. We did receive a complentary dessert for our troubles. The last visit it was just the opposite, again we ordered the La Cabrera, med rare, and this time it came out raw. We mentioned it to our server and sent it back for further cooking. After only a few minutes it came back and again it was still raw. We called over the owner who apologized and took it back for yet again , further cooking. While we waited, we nibbled on the veggies and smashed potatoes until the steak arrived, this time cooked properly, but after two reheats, it was somewhat flannelly in texture and we were almost full from eating the vegetables, leaving little room for the steak which came home with us. The server and owner were most accomodating, charging only half price for the meal and throwing in another half litre of wine, but it still doesn't make up for having your meal interrupted. I guess the issue here is this place specializes in the preparation of the beef it sells and when one orders the "specialty of the house", one expects perfection. I know from past experience that they have produced meals that are outstanding, yet the inconsistancy exhibited during my last two visits leaves me wondering if something has happened, staff wise, to alter that consistancy.
