Description: Nestled amongst the trees of Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park, Terrace specializes in Canadian Contemporary Cuisine. Ample windows and a glass ceiling allow diners to enjoy the seasonal menu offerings along with the well defined seasons that Manitoba is known for. Assiniboine Park is also internationally renowned for its Zoo, The Leo Mol Gardens, conservatory and art collections featuring the works of Ivan Eyre, Clarence Tillenius, and Walter J. Phillips. Terrace is a short 10 minute drive from the airport and 15 minutes from major downtown hotels. Seasonal local, regional and national ingredients are highlighted with an emphasis on freshwater fish and seafood. The wine list is made up of many international vintages with an emphasis on some fine Canadian wines. Terrace represents the very best Winnipeg has to offer. Great food and wine coupled with an iconic location make it the only choice when entertaining friends, family or business associates

“Excellent Meal in Lovely Restaurant set in Park's Garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

On a chance stop while visiting Winnipeg and spending the day in Assiniboine Park, we enjoyed a lovely midday meal here. We were warmly greeted by professional staff and seated at a table with crisp white linen. The room was nearly full and the server still made time to explain the dishes and carefully answer our questions. Our starter was a velvety, tasty pureed soup. For mains we enjoyed a perfectly cooked pickeral lightly prepared in butter with herbs. It had a delightful medley of small vegetables, again cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. There was a good choice of wines and samples were offered to help us choose. The fish and wine were an excellent pairing. The prices offered very good value. There is a large parking lot. We had a very enjoyable meal and overall experience.

“Best Brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

You really can't beat the value for your buck here. There are three brunch levels to choose from, although I don't know how anyone could handle more than the basic one. It consisted of the standard offering of complimentary mimosas, coffee, pastries, fruit plate, dessert and then your choice of entree. Service is suberb - get there as early as possible (we were there on a Sunday) - and you should probably have a reservation.

“Great location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

We ate on the terrace at the back of pavilion restaurant. The Lobster and Shrimp salad roll was very tasty. The so called Carrot Cake was a very big disappointment. I could not taste the Cream Cheese in the frosting. Overall the cake has great visual on appear but sadly lack in flavour. A lunch for four people with a glass of wine each was $130.00

“Excellent Food and Scenic”

Lots of glass walls make for great views of the Park. My wife and I have eaten here many times and the food is always excellent.

“a warm, lovely scenic spot.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

Nestled in the park, stunning venue, beautiful sunny room, and a diverse tasty menu. What more could you want?

Our party's lunch included the lobster/shrimp baguette, quiche of the day, steak, carrot cake and creme brulee. All delicious. Friendly service.

Only complaint is the grimy restroom, but it is outside the restaurant in the pavilion. Not really their control?
