“Good food in a shelter location.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

What are you expecting. In a area of a freezing village living on the visits of the Polarbaers meeting tourist on the way to an exiting adventure.
The food was good. Very nice and friendly service. The dinning Room has the only toilet so you have to cross the street.
But honesty we are not here to get the finest food and location ,we are here to see the wonderful animal waiting to cross the freezing Hudson Bay to go on seal hunt.
So all fits and is fine.

“Decent food but pricey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

We ate a filling but basic Chicken Caesar salad, and the veggie Borealis burger with Yam fries, along with a very nice but expensive bottle of Shiraz. Tasty enough, and probably par for the course price-wise in Churchill, but just lacking a little finesse. THere were a fair few mains on the menu, mostly burgers though, but not many starters or extras. A good meal though, just not excellent.

“Great lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

Dined here as part of a tour group, but got to order off a group lunch menu with many choices. Apparently my husband and I chose very well, as others were not as pleased with their selections. I got the Borealis Burger & Yam Fries. Vegetarian burger made with wild rice patty with berries, hummus, guacamole, sprouts, feta cheese, a mound of yam fries and great sauce. Extraordinarily satisfying and yummy. Hubby got the Tundra Salad with lots of veggies, sunflower seeds, beets, sundried tomatoes, avocado and chicken. Amazing to see all these fresh ingredients in this locale. Portions were very generous on our orders. Thumbs down on the chicken fingers and soup from others. But we were delighted with ours. Fun place. Loved the sign to the restrooms that said "No alcohol beyond this point". Know it is attached to a bar, but really...

“Good food, cheap beer.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

This is the only pub type place in churchill, and its over the road from its hotel. It has theme nights and offers each night. Most locals seem to use it as well. Do try the poutine chips with gravy and cheese. Filling and very nice. We used this for all the nights we were there and enjoyed the place
