This is your hotel if you want a clean room, comfy bed, and service from personable staff (from housekeeping to front desk and 34th St. restaurant). Impressive effort to be "green" with a recycling bin in the guest room, form for guests to complete the night before for housekeeping preferences (fresh towels only, no service needed, etc.). Convenient location if you like walking/exercising along pathway or quiet neighborhood.

Pros were the nice bathrooms, clean rooms, cons were the mix up at booking and check-in on the price and still confusion at check-out. It was resolved quickly so that was a plus. This was a nice hotel overall.

My family and I had a good time at the hotel. We stayed on the outside (not pool side) and it proved helpful as it was pretty quiet for my children's afternoon naps. The room was tidy and clean, and the chairs were easy to clean (wipe-able) with 2 messy toddlers. The beds were very comfortable, but a bit high for the kids. The room size was average, but the layout proved helpful as we had to set-up a baby crib and an extra-large dog kennel.
We booked online to save money, and called to confirm & set it up to have our dog stay with us (dogs are a considerable additional charge unless you have a service dog). While confirming the booking, they mentioned that we would not have the option of free breakfast (buffet style with hot table), but we still saved more money booking online and paying for breakfast. Also, the only leftover rooms available through the online booking had a full shower, no tub, but still managed with the kids (they loved playing with the shower hose like a sprinkler).
The TV was nice and big, and there was a DVD player with free movie rentals. The pool is basic with a separate hot tub. They did run out of towels though, and we froze walking back to the room. There is a small plastic play structure for kids ages 0-5 just off the restaurant (we have the same one at home, but the kids loved it). The restaurant is nice, but very expensive. You could always run across the street to Sobey's and pick up food. We had trouble connecting to the free Wifi (hubby had to stand over by the door). The room had comfortable AC, which was nice in the heat of summer, but you will have to get used to the fan noise (we didn't mind the "white-noise" to cut the hallway noises). Parking available all around the hotel, and I notice plug-ins for winter time.
Overall, we were happy with our stay except for the pricey restaurant, exclusion of breakfast for online bookings, and the lack of pool towels.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms are great as you can sit on your balcony (1st & 2nd floors), but can be louder du...

Instead of trying to find a suite with a sofa bed, to accommodate our party of 6, I booked two rooms - which turned out be adjoining, poolside rooms - providing us with the benefit of 4 queen size beds and two washrooms. It was one of the most enjoyable nights we had.

The three younger kids enjoyed the play structures set up between the restaurant courtyard and pool and enjoyed the freedom to easily access our room through the patio.

The pool was beautiful, too - a great atmosphere with the courtyard lit up at night. The food at 34th Street - a restaurant on the property - was delicious and what enhanced the stay even further was that we were able to do laundry before resuming the remainder of our vacation without having to search for a laundromat.

Room Tip: If your family enjoys the pool, a poolside room is convenient since you won't have to walk long...

The pool a very pleasant surprise: spacious and small water feature. It's too bad the hot tub was undergoing repairs the second day of our stay especially when you choose accommodations around such amenities. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The play area in the restaurant is great!! .... unfortunately the rest of the restaurant needs some love. Most food items seemed overpriced as all of us left hungry and dis-satified. Food was not flavourful. If travelling with kids, get any item on the kids menu but the kid's pizza as it is a complete waste of money. All other items on the kid's menu seem to offer good value.

There was advertising throughout the hotel regarding complimentary breakfast. The advertising does not indicate any stipulations. Apparently because we booked through bookings.com were were not eligible for this offer. The advertising needs to be updated to indicate something to the effect of "when booked though <website> or <phone>."

Room very nice.
A second light switch to light the room beyond the door area would be nice.
Bathroom light not very bright, but OK.
Breakfast not included with the room due on line booking, but I knew that.
I had a room next to the pool. The noise would make going to bed early a problem.
Shower included a learning curve
Really pleasant stay.

In Brandon on business. Our organization booked us all into the Victoria Inn. Was very pleasantly surprised at the upgrades that have happened since my last stay there some time ago. Services was fast and friendly, even though it was a busy Friday night. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet, even though it had a balcony that faced the pool. Slept like a baby. Bathroom very modern....lovely shower once I figured it out, but much fancier than I'm used to...took a few cool blasts of water to the face before I got it figured, but it was a good waker-upper!
