Hotel is kept very clean! Easy access to all rooms with many doors for outside access W/card swiper for extra security. Restaurant had great food, from the Prime Rib Dinner to the Complimentary Breakfast (anything of the menu). Had a Function for 125+ people in one of the ballrooms and great Lunch.

Room Tip: If you have young kids, then sit in the pool area of the Restaurant as there is a Play Area that is...

We selected the Victoria Inn because we used to live in Brandon and this was one of the best hotels here. I am happy to say not much has changed. They are currently renovating so there are some signs of that, but over all, it is still one of the best hotels in the city. The bathroom in our room was recently updated with a stand up shower replacing the previous tub and shower configuration. The shower was one of those multiple jets from the neck down, a detachable hand held option, and a large, over the head style, main shower head. My wife prefers the option of not getting her hair wet. The rest of the room was updated as well with dark wood furniture, new carpet, small fridge, and a mid sized LCD TV. The beds were average. The staff was pleasant. The in house restaurant was above average.

The front desk employees were very quick and efficient. I was in a newly renovated room which was very nice. The bed was very comfortable, and the new showers were awesome! One of the only downsides is that there is no elevator for the second floor rooms.

Friendly right from the first moment we walked in. We were greeted by a beautiful smile at the front desk and that was great after a hair-raising drive on slippery roads. Very clean room. Smells clean and crisp. A quick trip to the restaurant, we weren't sure what to order so we tried the taco pizza to share. Honestly it was mouthwateringly delicious. Gooey cheese and very tasty beef. Great place to stay.

Have stayed here twice in the past, this was my second time in one of the recently renovated rooms. Rooms are amazing, quite large with great furniture. Beds are pillow top, very comfortable, and the room has a big screen TV and fridge. This hotel is normally my favorite to stay in when I am in Brandon....however, two things came up on this most recent trip that annoyed me, one far more than the other.

1. My room was located immediately adjacent to a large storage room which apparently the maids or cleaning staff use. There was a tremendous amount of noise coming from there and the hallway right outside our room, starting at 7 am on Saturday morning. There seemed to be no attempt to keep the noise level down as staff we having full conversations while standing immediately outside our door. Hard to sleep in when this occurs, and I found that to be very inconsiderate of the staff.

2. The lounge in the hotel carries the most surprising beer selection ever, in that they ONLY carry beer from one brewery (Molson). I have been to hundred of lounges and restaurants in my life, and this was the very first time that this had occurred. I would like the management to know that this is not like a Coke/pepsi thing, where most people would shrug it off. Limiting yourself to one brewery drastically cuts into your selection available. I would be ok if the carried Molson and not Labatt's, but what about Fort Garry? Half Pints? Anything imported? This just seems crazy to limit yourself like that, as well as having nothing on tap.

Overall a great place to stay, but they might want to look into some of these things.

Room Tip: Don't stay in 144, as the room next door (which is labelled as just another room) is actually a...

Stayed here last week of March for Brandon Winter Fair. $160 a night was the high end for a room here. We were given two breakfast vouchers per day to use in the restuarant. Children have to pay. You can order a la carte or they do offer a buffet as well. The gentleman looking after the restaurant both days was friendly and efficient. Lady serving us Saturday morning was great but our experience Sunday morning was less than. The server (Sam, i think) would give us her scripted verbage and before we had a chance to answer was 3 feet away from our table. She made us feel very rushed and not welcome. Pool side rooms are great for Kids, but if travelling on business I wouldn't recommend one. Security was prompt on removing stragglers from pool area after 11pm so it did quiet down fast. Rooms are clean, basic , and WIFI was passable. Had a faulty TV remote which was fixed promptly by houseman and did recieve a call from front desk asking if everything was resolved. Overall a good stay.
