“All this and Harp on tap!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I live about fifteen minutes away from Jimmy Flynn's and eve since we discovered it, we get there as often as life allows. The service is friendly and the staff are well-informed on the menu (it is as if they actually eat there) the food is outstanding; creative and delicious! On top of all that they have Harp beer on tap. If you've not yet had a draft Harp, you need to get there SOON>

“A real pub with really good food”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We always enjoy our visits to Jimmy Flynn. There is usually at least one or both of the owner in the pub when we are there. The owners and all of the staff are friendly, fast and efficient.
The food is very good and there is a wide selection of beers available.

“Guiness Lamb Stew is Amazing”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

We dined at Jimmy's for breakfast and enjoyed it so much we make the trek back in the evening for dinner. My husband had the Guiness Lamb Stew in a breadbowl. After having a taste, I wished I had ordered it as well. The waitress gave us incredible service, which we hadn't experienced at the other places in White Rock. She recommended Jimmy Flynn's private cellar red blend wine, which was pretty reasonable, and quite delicious. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the view and promenade of cruisers. The waitress encouraged us to relax, enjoy our wine and view. Every place else felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave so they could seat more people.

Nice job joining value, service, and good quality! We will make the trek from Bellingham this winter just for a bowl of your yummy stew!

“Very good food!”
Reviewed July 4, 2012 via mobile

Loved the view of the pier and how quaint the pub was. Fresh cold reasonably priced beer and very good halibut. $50 gets you two entres a pop and two beers.

“A Bit Disappointed”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

At Jimmy Flynn's for dinner last night, we had seats outside and were able to enjoy the fresh seabreeze and the sunshine. Unfortunately, that was the best thing about the dining experience.

After reading reviews we thought we'd go out of our way to travel to White Rock and try the Snug. I ordered the Clubhouse, my wife the one-piece Halibut and Chips. Clubhouse was good, the aioli on the sandwich was good and the chicken cooked nicely. It was however, just good - not great. My wife's fish was among the worst she'd ever had, very small piece and the batter was soggy - not what you expect in a fish-and-chips haven like White Rock. French fries were good, as was the beer and the service.

Overall, a very average experience and a dissapointment given what we'd read from other reviewers. Had heard that the breakfasts were good but we won't be making the trip to try them based on our experience last evening,

We won't be returning - there are a myriad of restaurants along the waterfront that we'll try in search of better food.
