This was a great way of seeing the forest, learning a little about the ecology of the area and having great FUN!
If you like abseiling, "flying foxes" or flying through the air, this is for you.
Relaxed but safety conscious guides help the less intrepid over the fear of stepping off the platforms.
Had a great time.
Highly recommended

“Fantastic guides - learn a ton while seeing beautiful scenery.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2010

I went with a group of 17 on the ZipTrek tour. Half of us did the Bear and half did the Eagle. I was afraid of heights, but the two guides put my fears at ease and convinced me to try it. It was pretty awesome! All the brave people in our group absolutely loved it! We even had a grandma in the group that was zipping upside down by the last run!

It was also nice to hear about the eco-conscious practices and the proceed donations this company is making. All-in-all, this was worth every penny!

“Fun, Fun, Fun”

We loved this! We did the Eagle Tour and thought it was great, each zipline got longer and more exciting. Besides the adrenaline and excitement you also learn that this company is ecofriendly and how they manage it. Our two guides were knowledable, amusing & we always felt confident that our safety was in good hands.
We also though it to be good value for money, we have spent more money on other activities that didnt go as long and not nearly as much fun.
We highly recommend this activity.

“Amazing experience in Queenstown, New Zealand”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2010

I did a Ziptrek Ecotour in Queenstown last week and it was a really amazing experience. I'm not really that good with heights and I loved the way the 4 flying fox rides became progressively faster and longer, thereby enabling each person on the tour to build our confidence. It was all perfectly safe, though, and heaps of fun. The staff were great too, we had 2 guides that were very exact about all safety procesdures and really friendly. What I particularly liked was their focus on environmental protection communicating that message to their customers. By the way, I tried to find Ziptrek Ecotours under Queenstown activities but could only find its sister company in Whistler, Canada. From what I was told, they have 2 separate operations in Whistler/Canada and Queenstown/New Zealand. Maybe Tripadvisor could rectify this, since it's quite confusing.

“Fun and scenic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2010

We did the Eagle tour and it was wonderful. The staff may be young, but they are confident and well trained. No problem feeling safe in the whole situation.

There was some eco tour information that was handed out but quite in accurate, so that was disappointing. I would think that having tourists from all around the world the information would be accurate and presented in a dynamic way.

We live in the same province and are proud of Whistler and all it has to offer.
