“Good food, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

Wonderful setting with great views of the mountains and the lake. Cozy and comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle of the village. wild salmon, venison and lamb were all first rate. Service was very good. We would return.

“Dine beside Green Lake with delicious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

This was a truly memorable meal - and the recommendation came from Trip Advisor! Following a suggestion, we reserved a table near a large window near sunset and watched the light change on the lake and mountains as we dined. Every single bite we ate was delicious! The service was lovely. I had two starters - the butternut squash soup and a salad. My husband had the lamb. Our guest had fish. We shared bites and enjoyed every one! We would definitely return here again on another visit.

“Great view but mind the mozzies!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

The Edgewater has a wonderful location on the side of Green Lake and we thought it would be great to sit outside, particularly as it was hot inside and there didn't appear to be any air con. Mistake! Beautiful as the view was the mozzies came out in force as dusk arrived and we got a bit bitten but it was still worth it. We ate dessert inside! Apparently, we were the first to brave the great outdoors that summer. The food is terrific. We both had the seafood boullibasse and my starter was an excellent tuna. They appear to use local sources for their meat, fish and vegetables. Mine host was pleasant and chatty and informative about the area. Such a pleasant change from the noise of the Villages.

“Cozy and charming restaurant for a quiet and enjoyable dinner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2012

Located at the edge of beautiful Green Lake in Whistler, this is a place that will satisfy the most discerning foodies. We could not enjoy the spectacular view over the lake and the surrounding mountains as we arrived late in the evening. Arrive early to take advantage of the landscape and to make your escape a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The place is cozy and charming, yet modern and spacious. Do not expect city-like sophistication and glossy interiors. Instead, white linen tablecloths, a roaring fireplace and a very low noise level, with plenty of privacy between tables, give Edgewater a quaint atmosphere, making it the ideal escape for a romantic and quieter dinner out of crowded Whistler village.

Lobster ravioli, scallops, wild salmon and gnocchi, all were perfectly executed. Ravioli came in an aromatic broth with tasteful shrimps; salmon was cooked to perfection and was tender and moist; scallops were soft and savory; gnocchi were a tad firmer than they should be, but still excellent. The only slight disappointment was the homemade ice cream that I expected to be richer and creamier.

The service was a little brisk, yet professional and knowledgeable.

Just a few minutes north of Whistler Village, virtually opposite the Meadow Park Sports Centre, Edgewater is definitely worth a visit despite prices slightly on the higher end. Book on time as the place tends to fill up quickly, especially on weekends.
