Talk about fresh food, good service and a lovely busy atmosphere. As a couple we would have been happy with a slightly quieter restaurant but the place had a happy busy vibe and the food was great. We had the best friendliest waiter you could wish for, they really know about the food and love telling you about it - he loved his job so much that by the time we left I wanted to work there!

Enjoyed a lovely Italian meal here in a small lounge type room with a pianist....food & wine was delicious...wouldn't hesitate to go back to try other items on the menu!

We ski in Whistler every year and this has become our favourite place for lunch on our last day. The Manager Walter is always very welcoming and the food beautifully fresh. This was the case again this week and our server was particularly friendly and interesting to chat to. One thing I love about this place is that I have eaten here in ski boots covered in snow (Walter kindly takes your helmet to save you putting it on the floor - a coat check with a difference!) as well as more regular dining attire! I've also been for dinner (reservations generally required) and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

Umberto is quite a well respected restauranteur and you would expect top notch service for the prices you pay. Appetizers are $15-$20, mains are $20-$40. Our food was all fantastic- Caesar salads, deep- fried mozzarella, carbonara pasta and a prosciutto pasta. (Tip - you can order half orders of the pasta dishes!) But The service was just okay and I hope it was just an off night. Our waiter was super friendly but it seemed like he wasn't really listening to the questions we asked and we had to repeat everything. Also the food runners kept bringing the wrong dishes to the wrong people.
There was live music on this Friday night and it was quite lovely. After dining here I am looking forward to my upcoming Italy trip and I would recommend eating here! Let's hope the service had an off night when I was there!

Four of us sat at the bar to eat, we were captivated by the chefs cooking. The starter chef was very polite and helpful he took the time to explain what starters he was making. We all enjoyed our starters and main courses, it was so nice there we made another reservation to sit at the bar a couple of nights later. We had another lovely evening there and we will definitely go back there to eat next year. One of our favourite restaurants in Whistler. Everyone was very polite, and helpful.
