“OK”

Had a reasonable meal here the other day. It was pretty good but not spectacular. It was very busy and the service was ok but nothing special.

Had the veal satimboca which was very good. Starter and dessert were average though.

Overall - it was ok to go to, but didn't stand out compared to some of hte other restuarants I have been to this week.

“A must visit in Whistler!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Excellent food and service. Very friendly and efficient staff who appear to be enjoying their jobs as is shown in their attention to detail and personal conversation with clients. Noticed many returning guests. Lovely menu and wine list. Can be pricey but you get what you pay for and this will be a meal to remember- you won't be disappointed.
We sat at the bar for lunch where you could see all the food prep, delivery and interact with the kitchen and bar staff. Even the Exec chef came over for a chat.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of this restaurant and would definitely return.

“Expected something better!”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

Went there with high expectations being an Umberto chain restaurant. Pastas were just average and $20 plate of beet salad was way over priced. Service was again average and standard.

“Wonderful Dinner!”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

This was my second time at Umberto's and as with the last time the food was wonderful. Presentation was beautiful, food was fresh and melts in your mouth. We ordered a Ribeye and the Scallops and split our entrees since we wanted to try some of each! Giving four stars instead of five only because of the waiter we had. We had a very large party so there has to be a little understanding, but the drinks took much too long to arrive, and we were long finished our appetizers before we were able to flag him down to give our entree orders. Would definitely go back again.
