We didn't ski one of the days on our trip and went for lunch. Our server told us to take our time and stay as long as we wanted. We ordered wine and an appetizer. After we finished we got another drink. They were getting busy but she said not to worry. Then she came back less than five minutes later to get our order and informed us they needed the table so we needed to order. It ruined a great time fast. I know she was told by the manager to hurry us along but when we spent $125 for lunch for two of us (before tip) we should never be asked to order and hurry because they needed the table. Left a bad taste all the way around. I wanted to try dessert but we felt like we over stayed our welcome. Our server was great and I don't blame her for this.

Went to a number of the winemakers lunches at Steeps in the Round House of Whistler Mountaiin. They are well worthwhile attending and if you like you can ski down to the village afterwards. Not too much to drink but a great afternoon with great food wine and the chef and winemaker extolling the virtues of their produce

We had lunch on the deck on a beautifully sunny and warm day. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Highly recommend the Beef Short Ribs, but our travelling companions also raved about the soup, the risotto, and the crab. Good prices and great ambience.

If you get the chance for a leisurely late lunch after a hard morning of skiing, do treat yourself in a retreat above the crowd in the Roundhouse Lodge. The service there is welcoming and friendly. The menu is full and varied. We selected butternut squash soup to start. For our entrees my wife and I selected a poutine and a prawn / scallops dish, respectively. All, was delicious and plentiful. Then for desert, an afagato - why not? We deserve it. So do you, you should go.

My friend and I did a snowshoe/peak2peak tour, and stopped at Steep's for lunch about 12:45pm. The service was terrible. It took about 20/30 minutes for our server to come and take our order; and then another 20/30 minutes or more to get our food. The food was good, and the view amazing. It was a nice break before heading over on the peak2peak gondola. However, we had to rush our lunch because of the slow service - and the peak2peak stopped running at 3pm.
