Description: The Longhorn Saloon has been the place to après since opening day in 1981. Located steps away from the bottom of Whistler Mountain it's at the heart of the action. Whatever the reason, celebrate on the patio with a beer, bulldog or bottle of champagne! We are a 19+ venue from noon onwards during the Winter months with some exceptions. Feel free to give us a call or stop by if you have any questions, we look forward to hosting you!

We were in Whistler for the day and needed a place to watch the US vs Ghana soccer match :(. Longhorn Saloon does not lack for TV screens so we stopped there. We started with OK chips and salsa and the food went downhill from there. My husband and I were going to order the chicken sandwich until we heard our neighbor pronounce his so dry as to be inedible. We went with burgers instead substituting a house salad for fries. Our son got the fries and the salads were definitely the way to go--the fries were tasteless and cold. The burgers were mediocre. The place was hopping with many shots and bloody mary's on the patio (at noon!). Would not go back there for the food but in their defense they did let us camp out and watch the entire game without hounding us to buy more.

Longhorn saloon appears to be a great hangout spot at the base of the lifts where most people go and have a drink after skiing or boarding all day. The extremely loud music almost deterred us from dining there as there was no one outside and only a handful of people inside. We waited longer than usual to be greeted in a seat yourself type place. However once our waitress arrived she was great. We tried a couple of Whistler brews which were tasty and had an awesome meal. While the price point could have been better, I had the thai chicken wrap with peanut sauce for dipping and fries and my partner had the BBQ with chili spice half chicken that also came with fries and a big thick piece of toasted garlic bread. Both dishes we so good we couldn't stop eating.

I agree with the previous reviewer who said "close this place"!
I needs to be closed. The food is terrible and very expensive....
A tiny Reuben for 13 or 14$???? and it's not even good... the burger is terrible, the fries are bad....
The wait staff is (I also agree with some other reviewers) clueless.

Go somewhere else....

You pay a premium price because it's at the bottom of the slope. The service is friendly but mediocre. You will definately be finished your first drink before your nachos arrive. Also be aware that any extras are expensive. We used the place for our party to meet up at the end of the day until one of our party was refused admittance because he didn't have any ID on him and he looked 'too' young. He's 33, doesn't drink alcohol and had already been in there several times during the week and earlier that day. After realising it wasn't a joke, we explained all this but to no avail. The place was busy at the time so we went on to find somewhere else in the village and we found that 'There are better places to meet and eat in Whistler'.
