Description: The Longhorn Saloon has been the place to après since opening day in 1981. Located steps away from the bottom of Whistler Mountain it's at the heart of the action. Whatever the reason, celebrate on the patio with a beer, bulldog or bottle of champagne!

The Longhorn Saloon is steps away from both the Blackcomb and Whistler gondolas in the Whistler Village which makes it a good target for either lunch while on the slopes or for relaxing with a pitcher of beer after skiing. From my personal experience, the appetizers are good and so are the burgers and beer. You can sit outside or inside with both offering lots of action if you like to people watch. The Longhorn is also a good place to catch sports action with plenty of well placed TVs.

Life is too short for places like this. For a quick lunch at the base you are much better off going to garibaldi across the square.

We just went here for afterski beer. It's absolutly okey for that. But don't expect to be able to speak to other people around your table when they play all sort of music from Dolly Parton to god know what on HIGH volym even if no one seams to like it.
But, I won't let the place down coz of that. The beer are mainly Whistler brewery and the service is good for beer.
Good location for sure. Judge by your self, not my top pick but not the worst either.

There for a late lunch following our ski day. Great waitress who recommended our food and had a wonderful sense of humor. Actually recommended the cheaper drink and meal of the choices we provided her.

Went in to grab lunch during a glorious snowboarding day.
While starving may slightly dampen some people 's culinary judgment, no sizable hunger could make me ignore even for a moment the cheap taste of this mushroom melt burger from the very first bite.
I found myself upset to have paid fifteen dollars for this poor excuse of a burger that despite being quite satisfying in size was made with frozen patty and canned mushrooms. The "soup-du-jour" also tasted like canned soup.
It took way too long for our food to be served despite the professional enough young waitress's efforts to tend to us quickly.
I don't expect the taste of filet mignon in a burger and if you are going to make me wait fifteen minutes and pay fifteen dollars for it, make sure it's fresh meat and fresh mushrooms at least.

I tasted and quite enjoyed an interesting chestnut artisanal beer of their special selection section.
