“Will be back”

We spent our last night here (30th jan) for dinner and we loved it! Amazing food, salmon and perfectly done elk. You can tell the chef cares about the flavours and the waiter was great.
He kept us updated on the times and asked courteously about our dining experience.

“Awful breakfast”
Reviewed January 29, 2014 via mobile

I had the Eggs Benedict and all the ham was burnt. One egg was well done, the other runny. Potatoes were cold, not cool but cold. My husband ordered his eggs over easy and were burnt on the bottom. His potatoes were cold also. When we mentioned it to the server, she cuts us off, saying we should have told her. We would have if she would've checked on us. Food never should have left the kitchen. We should have sent it back and left.

“Food was so bad we sent it back and left. Never did that before in my life”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

The restaurant is a dump. The workers have no dress code. The prices are steep for the gross atmosphere. Kids had pasta and were still hungry. No bread provided. Short ribs that I ordered were supposed to "fall off the bone" but came hard and overcooked. My wife's salmon was so raw it should have been classified as sushi. We sent it back and left. Never again. I had a bad feeling with the hit and miss reviews.

“Healthy & satisfying dinner”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

Ciao-Thyme Bistro is very small and got really busy with long waits for customers. We got there early and the service was ok until the other tables filled up. They were accommodating and made plain pasta with parmesan for our one picky eater. The rest of us ordered several small plates and an entree to share. It was all very delicious and felt healthy, not heavy and filling, like other restaurants we dined at in Whistler.

“Just awful service”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

We were here for a 7:15pm reservation. At 7:45pm we had to ask for water. We finally received our wine at 8:15pm. Dinner entrees arrived at 9:15pm.
After ordering our wine our server returned several minutes later to tell us one of the two wine selections we made were unavailable. Our replacement selection was also not available. Keeping in mind this is a very small wine list. Same thing for dinner. Placed our orders only to be told later that 1 of the appetizer selections and 1 of the entree selections were no longer available.
Although 5 of our 6 meals were very tasty nothing can overcome the horrific service and complete lack of customer care. Finally, the tables are so close together it is virtually impossible to move around the restaurant.
