We went here for a quick lunch. Great curb side table whilst we got to watch local performers in the little square in front of it. The food was amazing. Who knew a lobster sandwich could taste so good? Even when our meal was finished we were never rushed to to leave. We came back for drinks at the bar on 2 separate occasions. It is worthwhile to do so just to try the truffle popcorn that comes with the drinks. Both waiters were excellent and sure know their cocktails and mixes. It is a MUST stop when you are in Whistler.

Spent 4 days in Whistler and tried a lot of restaurants. Araxi was for my wife and I special night out and although the food was good; there was nothing that made us stop and comment on it. The service was excellent as expected. I do recommend the oysters with various toppings. What was also odd was that we tried to book a table for 6:15 for a Monday night and was told that only 5:45 or 8:30 were available. At 5:45 half the restaurant was empty and it was still half empty when we left at 7:30 so was not sure why we couldn't have been seated later. There are too many other great restaurants in the area so no need to go back to Araxi.

Arazi restaurant belongs to a group of fine dinning restaurants, Cin Cin, West, Blue Water Cafe and Thierry. Reserved a table for 5 on the first night when our family arrived Whistler.
We ordered a dozen of mixed selection of Oysters recommended by our server which includes "Sawmill Bay, Marina Top Drawer, Stallar Bay and Joyce Points. The oysters are fresh, crisp, full of flavour, especially the first three, so delicious, never get enough. My son ordered a thin sliced of Venison Salad, like a sashimi of venison. It is soft, tender and yummy with the sauce on top. Few of us ordered the seared Foie Gras, it was pan fried served on a bed of veggie and orangie sauce. The foie gras is quite cooked, like a terrain, a bit on dry side, the sauce, the veggie didn't go well with it. I have to tell you all, the best Foie Gras I've ever had in Vanvouver is from the " le Crocodile" They cook it perfectly with tangy balsamic reduction and served with a piece of deep-fried potato net.
For the main, we ordered filet mignon, it is so so. The pan roasted Yarrow Meadows Duck Breast is cooked just right, pink and juicy. The Wild White Prawn Risottos is cooked al dante, it is good. The wild salmon is crispy and the taste is fine. I ordered seared scallops which is served on the top of garden vegetable with again some Orangie Sauce, it's pumpkin sauce. I have issue with this dish as to the cominbation of the ingredients and the sauce is wrong. Orange sauce for me before I taste it, it equals more or less sweet and sour or some chile sauce. The scallop is thinny sliced, very light, when it's put with pumpkin puree it's kind of weird.
Overall, love the oysters and the venision the most, the other dishes are just average. Service is good, our server is knowledgeable in both food and wine.

After visiting rimrock cafe, this was a disappointment. Shrimp roll for appetizer just ok. Bread delicious. We had scallops which were tasty and pretty, tuna which was ok. Dessert we shared lemon tart which was ok, room temperature. Service was wonderful. Nothing spectacular, which was to be expected. Would not return.
