“One of the best restaurants ever!”

We have only been to Whistler three times (we live in PA, so we don't get to the West coast very often), but, after finding Araxi on our first trip, we make it a point to always visit Araxi for a highlight meal of each trip. We were there last week with our Canadian cousins and the meal did not disappoint! The service is excellent and the food is exquisite.

“Absolutely Tremendous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

We recently dined at Araxi and had the most enjoyable dinner we've had in a very long time.
My wife read a review of this restaurant in the Australian "Delicious" Magazine and decided to book us in for a meal on our then upcoming trip to Western Canada. We travelled there with a tour group and were spending two nights in Whistler so booked in for our second night. Changing circumstances meant that we had a late change in plans so had to contact them to change our booking. This was no problem for the restaurant much to our relief. On the day we arrived in Whistler we located the restaurant and were very warmly greeted. Later in the day we had 2 other tour members who wanted to join us, another call to the restaurant and they were very happy to oblige.
On arrival we mentioned to our waitress, Adrienne that we had bought a copy of the "Delicious" magazine specially for James Walt, the Chef/Owner and asked if we could meet him. Our request was quickly dealt with, agreed to and organised for later in the evening when service had slowed down a little. James was very appreciative of our gift of the Magazine and happy to sign my wife's copy and also pose for photos with us.
The food we had was all absolutely beautifully presented & very tasty.
Entrees / Appetizers as they are known in that part of the world, were Oysters 5 ways which were superb, Jumbo Prawn Cocktail, very enjoyable. Mains ordered were RRanch New York steaks which were all cooked exactly as ordered by the four of us (all different) and very good. Deserts Chocolate Fondant and Lemon Tart all of which were delicious.
Overall this was an excellent night out and thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.
We highly recommend this establishment.

“Terrific food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

We enjoyed the last meal of our trip here. The white prawn risotto was delicious. The steak was also good, but not the best we have ever had. We finished our meal with white chocolate crime brûlée, which was delicious. The dessert was presented beautifully, with berries and homemade biscuits. The service was excellent, too.

“Just as great as we remembered!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

Lovely dinner here the other night. Spotless table--as we observed them resetting tables we could see a high level of attention to detail. Great waiter--Sam--who was delightful and professional. The food was perfect--oysters that tasted sublime, tuna that was perfectly cooked, and a salmon sashimi that melted in your mouth. They even have a "dessert to go" option that we used. Wish that it was closer!

“The Food is Simply Flawless”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

I had a great dining experience at Araxi, but that's to be expected with a fine dining establishment such as this... so allow me to share some light on the subject as to why Araxi is "Simply Flawless" as I stated: For starters it sits in the heart of one of my favorite places on Earth, Whistler Canada! Secondly Araxi's seafood is top notch, especially the seafood tower, which isdelicious (if you're hungry). A third reason is the atmosphere and service are amazing, and a final reason is because with food at this level it is more of an experience than "just dining". I would highly recommend if you have the pocketbook for it (needless to say we were frequents to subway following our visit...) but it was worth it for, as I said, the experience!
