Best salmon ever. Very fresh crisp skin and moist filet. Very nice setting and vibe in Whistler Village. Good happy hour special for oysters. Service was very good.

One of the main reasons for taking our resent trip to Whistler was to spend an evening in this restaurant, for many years we have read and heard about the outstanding food, wines, and spirits here. If you love food and the excellent attention they pay to every detail, this is the place for every one. The food and service where above my expectations, my wife and I both enjoyed our meals, it was a 20 out of 10, the wine book, yes I said book was out of this world, not to mention rare and hard to find spirits and beers, (some of which can not be found easily any where else). This is the perfect way to spend a romantic night with your better half, will in Whistler. Every time we are back, we will visit the Araxi for an evening.

Very good experience at Araxi - lived up to my expectations. Service was excellent and entertaining - the waitress even put on a song and dance to finish. Food was very good, especially for the fixed menu, and the wine expensive but exceptional. Thanks for a good evening.

During your visit to Whistler, make sure to visit Araxi for their oyster bar. They offer a special price during certain hours and the oyster selection changes regularly. Late Night is another great time to go. Oysters pair nicely with the fondue and desserts, so one visit may not be enough!

I'm going to let you all in on a little secret. This place is incredible for Vegetarians. Yes, believe it or not, this Oyster bar, steakhouse style restaurant with several dollar signs next to its name has a separate Vegetarian menu with incredibly well thought out dishes and stunning flavor, heck we wished we could've tried the other veggie Entree's as well but unfortunately the human body is sort of limited in its capabilities.

We were taken to our table to be seated in a nice, quiet well appointed setting, our waiter Sam was one of the best we've met and he had stunning attention to detail, combing off small bread crumbs off the table between portions, spotting a water spot on a knife and replacing it before I used it, carefully portioning our bottle of wine so our glass was never empty, these were just some of the little things that go a long way in making a fine dining experience one notch better.

On to the food, we started with bread and butter, sounds simple enough, but the butter is superb. Creamy, milky butter made from rich cows for sure. We tried the Vegetarian Sushi for starter and it was incredible. The attention to detail in the presentation and overall dish was impeccable. For main course we had Polenta which was also rich and creamy and had very nice sauces to flavor the dish. Finished with a cheese sampler plate with Fig based jam and a Lava cake with Salted Caramel Ice cream which was just perfect.

Overall, Five stars with no inhibition whatsoever, one of the best vegetarian experiences we have had.
